Testing - Julian and Mike please look

Post by Dayspring » Sun Dec 19, 2004 4:19 pm

This is one mini-manga I'll have to translate myself since they scanslated it into french. Here's a preview of one panel. To avoid too many spoilers I took the same one that my avy's from. Note that this is my first time "successfully" editing a pic.

Damn posting preview showing me that it STILL cut off parts of the narration. :x There's an "e" in "like" and a third period at the end cut off. Geh. Getting tempted to leave the editing to yet another person. ^_^;;;

Anyway, back to the point, how's that for picture quality (Ignore the bad editing job; I can translate in a word file and send the scan w/the french in it)? Should I scan each panel one by one like above, or the thing as a whole like the Lunch manga?

The REALLY small mini-manga I have no choice about. I'll send one in a PM to both of you for a preview.

EDIT: PMs of really small mini-manga have been sent. And if you're wondering, no I haven't the slightest idea why one's quality is better than the other. Adding text to the above one randomly changed it.

The pic looks good, but I'd still prefer translating it myself -- I know a good bit of French and it shouldn't be a problem. :)

I predict n00bs will crop that panel once EX puts it on his site and claim it as one of the alternate fusions (like Denderotto and Prillin). :P

I saw this mini-manga before and I always thought it would just be Goku when he was and old man. But, now that you mentioned it...

..he does look like a cross between Goku and Kamesennin.

I know I've seen this before. English. A long time ago.

Toriyama's World? Planet Namek? I don't know.

Possibly DB Canada. Their sources for everything came from the same 2 French Daizenshuu that I have. That's why a lot of their info they questioned themselves: Franglais translations at best. :P

I had once volunteered to join their site by contributing tons from the (french) manga, but then they told me to also translate ALL of the daizenshuu for them since my french was better. When what's his name never added me to the site as a webmaster of any form I backed off.

It's one of two reasons why I hate that site: the other being that they arrogantly represent all of Canadian Dragonball fans when all they do is diss newbies that hate them as semi-annual updates, or they talk about how great Escaflowne or Megumi are.
