Obviously, little Bulma or Vegeta would wanna know where their names came from! (also not serious)

Anyway, I'd probably try and let them watch it.. or give them one of my old manga's...

I introduced my six year old brother.... He watched premiere of Dragon Ball Kai and said, uhh, how it will end? And I said: Hey wait, I have whole Dragon Ball Z here..... He's now in middle of fight with Cell :D

I gave my Ultimate Uncuts and movie 4 to my cousins after getting some of the season sets and Double Features. Also, whenever they come over they love watching through episodes they haven't seen yet on my season sets. We last left off at the end of the Vegeta fight.

My seasons 1-5 will probably go to them once I get the Dragon Boxes. (Or at least the discs, not giving up my Schemmel/Sabat signed booklets/packaging. :P)

I was watching Season Nine (the first bits of the Fusion Saga, mainly the Gotenks vs. Buu fight) at my sister's house a while back and her five year old son was pretty interested in it. When he gets just a little older I might give him all my old tapes and dvds.

If I don't sell all of them for the DBox that is...

If I still live around here, I might show it to my friend's son once he's a little older (he's only 1 now) and can have a greater appreciation for it. At the moment the bright colors don't flash by fast enough to keep his attention and I really wouldn't be able to talk to him about the parts he liked the most.

I love kids, but I'll probably never have any... :(

I'm not sure how I'd introduce it to my own kids, if I had any, either let them watch my old Blu-rays of all the releases or watch the newer release on Holographic VD, with the English re-dub...

I'd read the manga to them every night too. :D

I don't know any little kids other than my cousins that I see once a year.

I showed the first episode of Dragonball to my little cousin, he lost interest pretty quick. Then again he has a serious case of A.D.D (not literally...I don't think although it's not unlikely) so that doesn't mean much. He seemed to get interested whenever there was a large monster on the screen.

We also played Ultimate Battle 22 together he chose 18 surprisingly.

I showed my brothers the old Amercan dub of Dragon Ball. They watched the first 5 or 6 episodes without blinking but then the got bored. A couple weeks later I let them watch the FUNimation dub of Movie 2 and Movie 7. They're only 4 and 5, so I don't expect them to read the subs and I am not going to read every line for them...

For Movie 2, I explained to them that Dragon Ball Z is about Goku, after he grew up, and his son Gohan. They liked Movie 2, there was plenty of action to keep them interested. They really wanted to know more about Piccolo.

Then Movie 7, I forgot about the use of "hell" and "damn" and "30-dollar hair cut," they were shocked. They liked the first half of movie 7, especially the part where Goku and Gohan were in the mall, but they got bored with the fight. They also really liked Piccolo again.

Later I let them play Burst Limit because it's an easy enough game to button mash your way through. Both of them consistently picked Trunks. They simply refused to play as somebody other than Trunks. And when they played each other they played paper-scissors-rock to decide who gets to play as Trunks in the blue outfit and who played with the white outfit. They kept asking me how to turn his hair yellow.

My nephew showed an interest in my old map of drawings (he's drawing a lot now).
He asked me who the characters were, Piccolo, Krillin, and Vegeta mostly.

But anyway, I tried to show him a fighting scene on YouTube and he thought it was Pokemon.
I tried to explain to him about Dragonball but he didn't really pay attention to it.
Guess he was more interested in how I drew those characters.

Then again he's only like 6 or 7.

I'll make him join the dark side

For those of you wondering about the quality issues of Dragon Ball by the time you have kids... once we have the Dragon Boxes, it won't be a problem at all. =)

But yes, once I have children, I intend to introduce them to the series at a (relatively) young age. So by the time they're teenagers, I'll have created DB nuts of my own that I can have debates and stuff with... muahahaha! *Cough cough cough*

If/When I ever unleash the fruit of my loins unto the world, sure. I won't "raise them" on DragonBall to the point where I name them after characters or anything. But I'll start 'em off somehow. Get 'em Puar plushies or something when they're babies, action figures and such when they're little, etc... Instill a general sense of familiarity that will gradually evolve into a young fandom. Like how my parents got me into Star Trek and Monty Python from a young age.

Did introduce some cousins of different generation to DBZ back when it started on Toonami. I was 16, he was 6 going on 7.

I got my cousin to read the first volume of the manga. Though, I think he only liked it for the naked Bulma. When I told him that it didn't last far into the series, he lost interest.

I'll get my kids into Dragonball the same way that my dad got me into thingsfrom when he was a kid like old westerns and sci-fi movies; I'll just watch it very frequently whenever he comes near, and I'll try to associate good memories of other things with it . My dad roped me into watching so much stuff that really sucks just by making me associate those shit-shows with good father-son bonding.

I used to babysit this kid, who I introduced to Budokai 3. Since then, he's nuts about Dragonball. He tries to act cool infront of his high school friends, but every time he comes round with his mum, he'll always hint at a game of Dragonball Z, and I don't let him down.
Since I love Dragonball, and my girlfriend.. likes Dragonball, I suppose it's inevitable that our kids will home some familiarity with the show, but I won't force it on them. They might catch me watching an episode, and be interested. If they do, they do, if not, it's not the end of the world now is it?

I'm gonna be that dad that makes his kids watch everything I like.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Why not?

If I had kids...I'd tell 'em "Go find your own damn show!" :P . Although I actually don't think I would have any desire to introduce them to it, I wouldn't care what they liked... This is assuming I'm even involved with Dragonball in the future.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.
