C'mon, man... let's pretend to put some effort into typing.LeprikanGT wrote:Which was way better than japanese 'play on words'
"yada yady something about futon gone" or something
i guess over there its just gotta rhyme to be funny?
Furthermore, it's exactly the same as the above "tuna" vs "tune a" joke. They are words that sound the same or rhyme and turn into a funny little pun-based sentence. You can't say you like the one in English and then turn around and say the Japanese ones aren't funny... they're essentially the exact same thing.

Kaio: "Scratch... scratch... scratch... Eh, there's a mosquito... a mosquito... 'Skaito... Kaio!"
Phone: "Huh? I picked up the phone, but no one was home!"
Goku: "My futon... flew away, gone!" - "My feline... has gone supine!" - "My stylus is sightless!"

Disclaimer: I "borrowed" this joke from SaiyamanMS. His own fault for hardly ever posting anymore. :P
Q: How many Kaios does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: All four. One to train a warrior to do it, and three to brag about how their warriors can do it better.
