What countries had a home release?

Haha, same story here. XD I remember back around 2003, stores here had imported American releases. So if you wanted to watch DBZ, you'd have to know your english (no dutch subtitles or dub).

Portugal had the Portuguese Dub but no home release of the anime, I think. All that was released were the movies with the Portuguese Dub. Those were released.

And there was a hard to find Portuguese version of the manga, long ago. Don`t know if the 42 vol. were all released, though.

Well, maybe. Its not an internal release but if someone really wanted the portuguese dub, all he had to do was buy that release.

I think that Mexico had VHS releases of movies 3 & 8 as well as they were released in theaters over there.

While it is true, it's basicly a copy Viz's adaptaion with lower quality. And it's published by Gollancz Manga from Orion Books.

The manga?

Hong Kong version of the manga was published by Culturecom. (My dad's friend works there. I used to get tankoubon's from them for free! It was awesome back in the day.)

Taiwanese version was published by Tong Li Comics. While it's also in Chinese, there are some differences in translation.

I know there is a Taiwanese release of the anime and I have seen some of the movies released on laserdisc. I'm not too sure about the series itself.

There is also a DVD release of the series in Hong Kong containing the Cantonese dub originally broadcasted on TVB.

Oh! Where can you find the Cantonese dub? Is it still in print?

Well, if you want to include it, Australia has had releases of both the manga and anime, identical to the US though.

Except for the green bricks. They were yellow.

Yeah, and I'm pretty darn sure I read that the German version was translated from English, not French.

It wasn't. Hell, I think the German translation was finished before the English one was even started.

Now I know another country to add; Greece, they've gotten DBZ and DBGT releases on DVD, I think (might've gotten DB, but not so sure about that). The releases have very bad video, and audio quality, and are censored with dub only.

Carlsen Comics were always proud of it, that their German version was translated from the Japanese version.

Of course, it didn't help a lot. The translation is pretty bad anyway.

Actually here in Greece, Dragonball GT has finished being released and DBZ is finishing too. Also for the first time here, the movies will start being released from August 31th with a new release every two weeks and after finishing the movies they will release the first series too, so we get the complete set.
Possibly one of the biggest
Greek Dragon Ball Fans.

Indonesia have both Manga release and the home release, We only have a VCD release but it's already ultra super rare to find! the Manga also already super ultra rare to find! and the Dragon Ball series still being broadcast! now it's on Dragon Ball Z! Goku just turned into a Super Sayia-Jin last Sunday! and I recorded it.
