The Arabic dub voice actor of Goku... have passed away

I'd be really appreciated if you'd include this to the Podcast's news..

Last night, the 26th of August 2009...

The voice actor of Son Goku from the Arabic dub... have passed away

He was Mr. Zeyad Errafae'ie زياد الرفاعي

One of the best and most popular voice actors of the infamous Arabic dubbing company - "Venus", or "Zuhra".

His other best roles were: Heero Yuy (Gundam Wing), Rai (Thunder Jet) and Shinichi Kudo (Detective Conan).

He had a car crash last Friday, and his condition was critical... It became stable few days ago, but...... he couldn't make it....

Rest In Piece, and may Allah get you into Heaven along with everyone fated to go there.

Have they already begun dubbing DBZ again yet? I wonder if he did any more work as Goku?

While I'm not familiar with the Arabic dub or the voice actor himself.
Hearing about tragic deaths regardless of if you knew the individual or not are such a shame. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. R.I.P.

I've never seen this dub, nor would I since I don't speak that language...

Very sorry to hear that. From the clips you provided, he made a wonderful Goku. May he rest in peace, and I hope for the best for his family and friends in these difficult times.

It's unfortunate that the Arabic dub is not one of the worst to be made, but to have the first voice actor of goku to die...

It's too much...... too much to bear...

I looked up for other roles by him other than the ones posted earlier, he also voiced Leorio from Hunter X Hunter, Rock Lee from naruto, Black Bomber from Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden and Rukawa Kaede from Slam Dunk (Who was also voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa)
