But in GT was Goku instead of spikey hair retard and some pointless ''boom'' ''boom'' ''blast'' fights instead of that climax made from kick, punch and kame hame ha looked like Blastoise' Hydro Pump from Pokémon Stadium....

I strongly agree with this statement, I watched GT the other night, everything about it annoyed me other than the theme songs.

Frankly, there haven't been ANY good comic book movies this year.

Closest would be Hulk Vs. or the Green Lantern DTV, and yeah, they aren't including DTVs.

Punisher is more hXc explosions, explosions, dead guy here, dead guy there, then both Wolverine, and Watchmen combined, just that no one watched that movie.

Watchmen is from DC not Marvel.

You mean it isnt?

Seriously though, most of the DB games have either won best of at E3, or were nominated for that. For Spike, I believe Burst Limit was nominated for fighting game of the year last year.

$10 says Wolverine will win. They don't consider Coraline or Whiteout worth nominating, which coincidentally are the only two of the seven movies devoid of beat-'em-up scenes.

Seriously? Punisher: War Zone? Over Coraline? At least they could use horrid timing to exclude Whiteout (comes out September 11, while the nominees are January to August only), but no Coraline? It was easily the best of them all.

Frickin' Punisher had a guy's head cave in FOR NO REASON at one point!

Hulk vs. Wolverine was amazing. 8)

Deadpool was enough to make that movie for me.

I worded myself unclearly. ^^;

Also, I did not know that Watchmen even belonged to either of the big two; I always thought it was its own separate entity. O_O

I should've put it into two sentences instead of cramming my words together. I made it look like I was referring to both movies when I meant to only refer to Wolverine.

I should've worded it like this:
Wolverine will somehow pull it off on the basis of both the fact that Wolverine is from Marvel, and that its much more well-known by a broader audience than Watchmen is.

I bet Coraline didn't get nominated because it was stop-motion instead of live-action. =(

Well, it's not part of the regular DC universe as far as continuity or anything, but it was published by DC.

But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

The only way I will except Watchmen from losing is if Evolution wins. Watchmen was the greatest Comic book adaptation I have ever seen. Dragonball was the greatest comedy of 2009. One of them has to win.

Watching DBE 21 times back-to-back is better than GT.

I liked Wolverine too. Careful though, those same latter two words once got me temp banned. Hmm, maybe your lusting of Goku's woman provides some pheromone that makes ya' immune.
Rocketman wrote:Watching DBE 21 times back-to-back is better than GT.
Really? The final fight in DBE was a micronized version of the way GT did its battles. "Ki spammage, 3-5 punches, super-outrageous Goku win". Except, yeah, in 2 minutes. And oh yeah, GT at least keeps the characters decently 'in-character'. DBE transformed Goku into what puny Toby Maguire/Tom Welling merging that is Chatku. Not to turn this into a debate, there should be another thread regarding that.

Since there are housewives out there who spend their days watching soap operas and Lifetime movies, not too surprising. And I'm pretty sure most of the males on here and elsewhere would prefer DBE straight several times to a marathon of Lifetime movies (except the men out there who are very secure and don't mind their manliness being questioned).

There were little things in GT that I liked, and I liked some of the concepts more than the execution of said concepts.

For example, I was disappointed by most of the evil dragons, but I like the concept of there being evil dragons. Similarly, I liked the concept of a galaxy-wide dragon ball hunt, but I would've preferred sending Vegeta and Gohan with Goku instead of Trunks and Pan.
