Looks pretty good.

But I'm fine with my Madman sets for now.

Great review. I did the contest though, but I sent 2 emails, I forgot to add my address in the one, so I edited the Subject to show that I added my name and address. Sorry :(

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Since a few people are confused about one part of the contest.

If your entry wins and I don't have your address, I will email you for your address. You do not need to worry about it.

Thats what happened with Season 5 - Walmart put it out almost 2 weeks early.

EDIT: @ Badass - Did the 5th disc have 'extras' on it like Z and GT?

I didn't check, I only watched the first three episodes so far. However I did check the fifth disk and it doesn't mention any extras, just the episode count.

Another thing of note is that I checked out the booklet and, for the first time, it doesn't feature any mention of the remastering process on the back of the booklet. I am unsure if this means they didn't bother to remaster Dragon Ball at all or that they merely didn't bother to include the details of the remastering process this time around.

That sucks; the first thing I would do when I bought the seasons would be look at the upcoming trrailers. They could have atleast had the dragonbox commercial or something.

Who knows, maybe they didnt change much? They left the music and all that alone, so who knows.

I dont have an FYE around so I guess Ill have to wait another 2 weeks.

Well, just because it doesn't mention them on the disks doesn't mean they aren't there at all. They just might not have bothered. To be fair, I hardly count adverts for other products as extras, so maybe FUNi didn't either? I'll check disk 5 and let you know.

Yeah I noticed that half way into either Z or GT they didnt print the words 'plus extras' on the discs anymore, so who knows.

True its not an ACTUAL extra, more of coming attractions. I always watched to se the cover art for the next set, which we have already seen Krillin, so no big loss I guess.

Ok, I actually checked disk five and it DOES have the usual array of trailers and textless songs. However, no DragonBox trailer, just an add for the Bardock special single.

EDIT: That doesn't mean there won't be a DragonBox trailer at the beginning of one of the DVDs, so keep that in mind.

I just checked on walmart.com and it seems Dragon Ball Season 1 has been removed. So will my pre-order just be refunded? I find this...odd<.<

Yeah the random disc with a Dragonball preview alwasy made me happier than having to skip over a preview of an anime I've never heard of or watched.

Not really sure what the deal is with putting out the tv specials again, but for $10s a pop Ill pick them up for the new cover art.

Even if they have a movie DragonBox, i could sell them later.

What do you think? 7 Z boxes, 2 GT boxes 4 DB boxes and 1, maybe 2 for the Movies? That would keep them busy for atleast 2 years if they do 1 every 2 or 3 months.

I'm hoping they'll keep DBGT as one box set, I wouldn't mind paying around $100 for it...

It's a shame you still have to take off the sleeves to form the image with the spines.

@Time traveller - I'm just thinking 64 episodes would be a bit of an over load for one box...by Funi's standards

@Son - It DOES suck - I've got the Z brick upright then the steel cases and GT on its side since the picture goes sideways and THEN I've got the sleeves lined up in a row; just takes up too much space.

EDIT: By the spine picture we see in that video; can anyone tell how many seasons DB will be?

Well good for you. I checked my local bestbuy a few days ago and there was nothing there. They are the only store around me that puts things out early.

But yeah by preordering I am still getting it early and cheap($30). The FYE near me always charges MSRP so the set would have been like 50 bucks right?

FUNimation released a box set of the entire first 3 seasons of Slayers with a whopping 78 episode count on 12 discs.
