I did send Gokuden553 a messege on youtube warning him to make a backup account before he got deleted. Now I search for Gokuden553 and there is no channel

Why did you do that?

He was uploading Daizenshuu scans on youtube, meaning viewers who never seen the inside of one can now know what is inside. It is/ was a great way to introduce people to Daizenshuu books. Who knows people may even buy copies because of the videos.

I know some youtube members that upload videos are getting sick of having to create backup accounts.

Is there a video uploading website that could be used by the anime community that offers similar features as youtube?

Who knows maybe enough people leaving youtube will force companies to rethink

I created a new account on Metacafe a little while ago. I only have a few AMVs on my YouTube account, but with all the bullshit that Toei is doing, I don't wanna take any chances. Here is the link: http://www.metacafe.com/f/channels/DSquaredDude

I haven't uploaded anything yet, because my account is still up. My old AMVs from a few years ago will go there.

Well, you don't have to create a back-up account, you choose to because you still want your videos online. People seem to forget that YouTube is a service offered free of charge. However, even if you paid and you're still breaking the law, then they can still take down your content and account.

There are only a few other fairly popular video sharing sites, but they're all subject to the same legal issues that YouTube has. You could always head over to an unknown video sharing site, but then no one will really see your video, which really defeats the purpose of putting them online in the first place.

I think you're giving people too much credit here. Millions of people just aren't going to up and leave YouTube. Besides, YouTube would rather delete/suspend a couple accounts here and there than get sued by a major company and have to close up shop. I also think the whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. This really only affects a couple people, and in general a very very small portion of everyone that uses YouTube.

Just letting you all know, this isn't just a Dragon Ball thing. They got several One Piece new episode uploaders, AMV makers and more.

I totally disagree with taking down AMVs. I'm all for pulling OP episodes, though. It's available for free legal streaming elsewhere. Support the official release when possible, people!

You propably noticed that all of this mess happened after the announcment of the Dragon Box by FUNimation!

Did they make an agreament behind the walls to take down all Dragon Ball-related videos from Youtube in exchange for the Dragon Box...?!!

As for One Piece episodes... didn't FUNimation restart their Online Streaming of the episodes?!
