So we're at 231 characters. For comparison, Daizenshuu 7's character dictionary lists 396 characters, and Greg Werner's expanded version of that list runs up to 453. Neither list included GT characters, but they did include numerous "characters" such as the first normal man who gives energy to the Super Genki-Dama, Uranai Baba's skeleton guard (a nameless character who appears in the background of 2 panels, never says anything, and doesn't move), the TV reporter who appears in 1 panel to report that Cell has appeared again in some city, etc.

Those are pretty minor characters, but technically, my rules state that the only characters you can't name are live-action movie characters and characters within a crowd that were created for the sole purpose of running in terror, praising Mr. Satan, etc.

Plus, video game characters are added, so that makes it more than 396.

Those characters you mentioned would count, and this thread could keep going for a while.

Likes: He's a Blue-skinned warrior who wears Saiyajin armor like he's under allegiance of Freeza.

Dislikes: He looks way to weak. Goku didn't even need his SSJ2 transformation. He was like Cell-like-strength.

Also, are Budokai 2 what-if Fusions alright? Teincha and Gokule?

Likes: Gave Lunch an action sequence, showed up in Cell Saga filler (recycled character design~?) with our good friend TaoPaipai with hopes of using the dragonballs to come out on top once the Cell Games ended... Ah, clever. Never mind how recycled-filler-manager found out about the DBs (though TaoPaipai has experience with them... heh). FUNi gave him a mob leaderish voice in both 22nd tournament and Cell Saga filler, which seems to fit his behavior in each... and in both cases, Goku is oblivious to his sneakiness. ^_^.

Dislikes: Made Lunch waste a perfectly good icecream cone.

And RECYCLED!Cell Saga version doesn't seem to be quite as clever as the 22nd tournament version.

Likes: I'm glad Toei brought back 17 and his storyline after it had been long forgotten (with the exception of a cameo at the end of Z). Gero and Myuu working together to create him was an interesting concept, as well.

Dislikes: Laziest character design since the Invisible Man.

Likes: Actually expands on the nature of Z and the other NekoMajin, gets pwn'd by Majin Buu, and has a diabolical plot to overcome physical weakness by stealing the balls of all the Nekomajin in the world, potentially creating the opportunity for a long and involved sub-plot!

Dislikes: Laziest Character Design since Hell17.

Likes: Cocky gangstah leader confident that he can take on Mr. Satan himself... only to lose to Videl in one attack.

Dislikes: Though he had Mark quivering in fear, I suspect this guy is more of the Vegeta type: talks smack, but that's about it. Mr. Satan probably could have taken him if he hadn't chickened out. -_-

<= Bear Thief =>

Likes: The fight against Bear Thief is the first genuinely cool fight in Dragon Ball, I believe. It's up there with the battles against Yamucha, Jackie Chun, and Tao Pai Pai for fights that are clearly much cooler or more dramatic than the stuff that's come before (I'm not sure if any fights beyond Tao fall into the category of being groundbreaking, the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai raises the standards awful high). It's short and it's simple, but it was a fun little sliver of the series, and I enjoyed the charisma little 11-12 year Goku showed as he made a bitch out of Bear Thief.

Dislikes: Nothing comes to mind, though I must say I'm very surprised this guy hasn't been covered.

Okay, two new rules. I figured these needed to be added, so as to clean this thread up a little:

1. I'm now going to allow you all to post more than one character in a post as long as they are related in some sort of way. For instance, you can now name the Spice Boys in one post. You know, the rip-off group of the Ginyu Tokusentai in the Garlic Jr. arc? Name them in one post. This rule is to simply stop some of you from double, triple, or even quadruple posting in this thread.

2. If the character only appears for a few seconds, they will not count, since we don't really know the character long enough to gather likes and dislikes about them.
