Even though I don't play MMORPGs, but I want to play this thing!
I wish there would be a spin-off release for other consoles staring the party from the trailer because it's damn cool looking.
I'll say it from now, I'll choose to be a human. What will you choose to be?

I think this was stated a long time ago too... I always knew this somehow anyway ^^"Furu wrote:For what it's worth that big Japanese article/overview of the game specifically says the Humans that are playable are descendants of the Saiyajin.
By the way, whatever happened to that mechanic job for humans? First they stated (on Wikipedia at least), that you could choose as a human between Warrior, Spiritualist and Mechanic. But now seeing the official site and the article, it looks like you can only choose between Warrior and Spiritualist?
Anyway, I'll probably pick human as well. Although Majin also looks very interesting. Still not sure about the job I'll pick, though.
@ Sunlight & City Night: You're welcome!
The engineers are mentioned very briefly in the article under the Human heading but that's it.
The most interesting thing here is that all of the race's classes play differently from one another and each class has two seperate upgraded versions to choose from. For instance, Human Martial Artists can become Fighters or Swordsman.
Some of the upgraded classes are pretty big references. The spiritualist upgrades are called "Crane Hermit" and "Turtle Hermit" and one of the Dragon Tribe branches apparently lets you spit up your own demonic offspring to fight for you.
Oh and one of the Majin classes fights with cooking utensils.
(Keep in mind I can't read a lick of Japanese, but the class descriptions are pretty clear via Google Translate and some research to figure out what some of the more janky parts of the translation are supposed to be)

Hey, I entirely forgot I had an account here. AGAIN.
Is that what this thing is?!Furu wrote:one of the Dragon Tribe branches apparently lets you spit up your own demonic offspring to fight for you.

Eww. It looks like the aborted son of a Cell Jr. with a Saibaiman.B wrote:Is that what this thing is?!Furu wrote:one of the Dragon Tribe branches apparently lets you spit up your own demonic offspring to fight for you.
Probably not. It looks like the closed beta wasn't long enough for anyone to get out the child stage and it seems class upgrades only go to adults. That's probably just a random enemy.B wrote:Is that what this thing is?!Furu wrote:one of the Dragon Tribe branches apparently lets you spit up your own demonic offspring to fight for you.
Oh and for anyone wondering about planetary travel...there is none. New Namek was destroyed yet again and the Namek-y looking places in screenshots are parts of Earth terraformed to look like Namek.

I hope Kuriza destroyed it.Furu wrote:Probably not. It looks like the closed beta wasn't long enough for anyone to get out the child stage and it seems class upgrades only go to adults. The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

The things that high-class Dragon Clan Namekians can create are called Demon Shenlongs, so apparently it's not quite the same thing as Daimao's demon offspring. Namekians who can do this are called Poko-Doushi (Poko-Priests, I guess; "poko" is probably a reference to Daimao's chant from when he spat out his eggs). The other kind of advanced Dragon Clan Namekian is called Dende-Doushi, and they use mysterious powers to rescue people.
The two types of majin are Dai-Majin and I-Majin, as has been said before. The two types look the same except for the color of their clothes. Apparently, all male majin are fat like Mister Boo, while all female majin look more like Kid Boo. All majin higher class names end in "ma": the two kinds of Dai-Majin are Ultima, who use musical instruments, and the Granma (?!), who use food and cooking utensils. Meanwhile, I-Majin can grow into Plasma, who use status ailments and powerful ki attacks, and Karma, who combine both offensive and defensive abilities.
Maybe I'll do a more detailed translation/summary of the whole article later, but I don't really have the time now.

It's in that long article posted awhile back. Bura posted an English translation above. The translation is somewhat awkard at times (Mister Popo created the majin race!), but on the whole it's OK.Velasa wrote:.... Where the hell did it say this????

Let's hope it's a mistake of the article writers. The article does get some things wrong, like referring to Freeza henchmen aliens as "Saiyans", so maybe they misunderstood Namekians being on Earth. In fact, wasn't it Planet Yardrat that was supposed to have been destroyed, which is why Yardratians are on Earth? Seems quite possible that they got the Namekians and Yardratians confused.
