He should have asked Yamcha that.

Ugh, what a lame thing to reference.

King Cold offered Trunks one better. I dunno if that would have been a job, or an adoption into old money.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

If you think about it, Bulma doesn't even really hold down a job, and she's probably the most normal character. She just sort of does what she wants, because (here comes another reference), screw the rules, she has money.

I mean, does she patent her inventions? Are there folks out there buying Dragon Radars in the stores?

There's no reason to think that she doesn't do all the things Dr Brief did, like inventing new vehicles, robots, etc. Although I don't remember if anything ever confirms that she does. If nothing else, she'd be the owner of the company itself, whenever her father retired.

Nah, I think Bulma just mooches off her parents' fortune. They could've become trillionaires from the capsules alone.

I can't be the only fan who wishes they could just press a button on a little capsule, throw it, and get a friggin' house.

But then, those would be pretty dangerous, especially if you mistook them for medication!

While I don't see someone mistaking one for medication, I can see people mixing them up with a click pen, or mixing up the kinds of capsules. IE: Click a capsule, put it on a desk, and expect your new laptop to show up. Tadaah! House in a house!

Well, unless you don't mix your case, there are markings on them, right?
Bulma knew that a certain capsule would give her a submarine (I think it was a submarine), but instead, her father's porn collection was in there.
This gives me an idea. People could hide stuff in them, like weapons.
Or hide them inside their bodies.
In any way, there would be a control at every airport. And body cavity searches! :P

So, in what way is he God?

And to prove this, Dende becomes God, and he's equally, if not more useless than the last.

Watching things does not make a God. If that's the only qualification you need to be God, they might as well have made Mr. Popo God. Hell, Farmer with the Shotgun could be God!

The Z-fighters' purpose was never to hold down a job... Their job so to speak is to protect the freakin' planet. Period.
Vegeta's sole purpose was to always be better than Kakarotto. Goku only wanted to prove himself and fight strong opponents. The anime only filler episode which showcased Goku trying to get his drivers license should be enough proof of this.

Eh, not really. They don't even see themselves as protectors of the planet, it's just something they end up doing frequently. Goku is mostly in it for a good fight.

It's not like they go around patrolling the streets for crime, or anything.

Well, okay, Gohan does, but he's weird when he's in high school.

Holding a job never seemed to be in the Z-Fighters' mindset. I mean, even though the movies aren't canon, you could still kinda use them as examples. In the majority of the Z movies, you sort of get a sense of what Goku and the rest do in their spare time before whatever evil shows up, and it certainly ain't working. It's either training, fishing or camping, mostly. Evil shows up, Goku can't sit still, as is evident in movie 8.
