Very good read, Shinobi, and thanks for the info. Man, that must be a pain for you guys with all the re-writes, how do you put up with it?

Holy hell, they might as well give the Arab dub a different name.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

So, Goku and his artificial gorilla summoning friends are on a quest to gather all seven Dragonballs so they can get their friends back from the galactic martial arts school in the sky and get all the riches in the world?

That is some crazy shit right there. How long did the series last on air before fans got pissed and burned the studio to the ground?

Thanks Funimation, you may have made some changes but at least you didn't go overboard.

Seriously, it makes Dr. Gero being the Red Ribbon Army leader look like nothing.

Summoning giant gorillas and the Galactic Martial Arts School in the Sky are probably some of the funniest things I've ever heard about.
Not a problem.

I think that's called "damning with faint praise".

I wouldn't say I'm damning them. They have made mistakes sure but looking at this its like Funimation was a godsend. Its like living in a nice suburb and bitching about not having money vs living in the ghetto and bitching about not having money.

I have a question though are most fans aware of the original version and all the changes the Arabian dub made?

Or Dragonball SMC, with SMV being "Soccer Mom Version".
The ad would read: For all you mommies that want your small kiddies to not se any nudity, or any ungodly actions.

My point was that saying Funi did a better job than this Arabic dub isn't too good a compliment. It's like saying someone's a better marksman than Hellen Keller.

No, they still did terribly, just not nearly as terrible as the Arabic dub.

But that's like saying a punch to the jaw is better than a kick to the groin. They're both painful.

No, FUNi's dub is like being chained up and whipped a few times. Some people love it, others just don't get it.

Funi's dub is like being chained up and whipped a few times by Macho Man Randy Savage as the Power Rangers opening blasts on loop in the background while Jason Griffith continuously spouts catchphrases from Sonic the Hedgehog over some loud speakers. Pretty fucking hardcore and extreme bro.

So was there ever an Arabic dub of GT? How would they handle the whole Golden Oozaru into SSJ4 thing, if Oozaru are just creatures Saiyans summon from nowhere?

Easy, when they are super *artificial humans* their golden powers give them the ability to summon golden gorilla assistants. I can be a writer for this show! :P

also why to take my comment and blow it up way more than it needed to be,seriously if another thread gets locked over that crap I'm going to get mad.

Anyway back on topic, How far did this version go?
