The Paper Goku

Post by LeprikanGT » Mon Oct 19, 2009 3:18 pm

Has anyone printed and put it together?

It seems like it if was just on printer paper it would be a bit flimsy, but I'd still like to see it put together.

I wasn't even thinking about the feet/legs. I was worried about hands/arms but I assumed it was those tiny pieces on the side.

I usually use cardstock for papercrafts, no too thick, just sturdy enough. I've made some medium size ones with it and I've never had any problem with it, but from experience I think even regular paper will hold just fine because it's not very good

I'm going to clean it up a bit, there's some damage on the pdf scan, then I'll print it out on normal printing paper and construct it. I'll post mine afterwards, Mike thanks for scanning it for us :D.

If you clean-up the image, please post it for us! I think it wasn't very smart of Bandai to send over a folded piece of paper that you need to cut. Like Mike said, a .PDF file would have done just fine, if not better, or a punch out. Maybe just something unfolded... Anyway, thanks for the scan, Mike. I'll get working on the project as soon as my restock my printer with color ink!

Good news, I cleaned up the pdf scan and even constructed it! Here is the pdf file for everyone, now just like Mike said, "Get out there and build these then post your picture!!" (Ok, it's not exactly what Mike said but you get the idea :P)

WOW... That clean-up is downright amazing! It's like how the Dragon Box looks SO much better than the original FUNimation masters (Dragon geek humor - :), I called myself a dragon geek!)! Anyway, thanks for the post!

Saiyans are humans. They're just not Earthlings.

Well, I always that then were human-like. They're aliens, so they can't be humans. Can they...?

They're humanoid (ala Vulcans), but 'alien' to Earthling (human of Earth).

In DB, humanoid aliens like the Saiyans and Ginyu are referred to as humans.

It's always a sad day when Dragon Ball logic clashes with Doctor Who logic.

How ironic that I've been listening to the Dr. Who theme whilst coming across these comments...

In Doctor Who the Doctor doesn't refer to himself as human. Infact he makes a point of saying he's not on many occasions. He allows himself to be passed off as human, but only when it suits him or the situation.

By the way, that paper Goku is freaky with the really big head.

Wasn't that exactly what Tori-bot was saying? That Doctor Who logic clashes with DB logic?
