The Ocean dub used FUNi's video for their episodes (except for the last three, apparently)
Where's the beef?

#1 Freeza dub line - "Whatever turns you on, big boy."

Now we know why Goku wanted to remain on Nameksei alone with Freeza...

Ah, la'amour.

Well, Goku did seem so eager to meet up with Freeza and Cell again in GT... :P

The old website had Kuririn saying "Ka... Me... Ha... Me... Hey, how ya doin?" Don't know if it counts as a dub moment but I thought it was pretty dumb.

"I think you managed to singe some of my leg hairs."
-Raditz to Piccolo

"Now keep your eyes on the birdie!!! HAHAHAAHAHA!!"
-Raditz, again to piccolo

Hmm Raditz talking to Piccolo in the US Ocean dub has some of the most strange moments ever...

Hey, I liked this lines! Especially Jason Gray-Stanford's delivery! He was brilliant!

I actually think FUNi did a nice job on Raditz. He had, I don't know, more character than his Japanese counterpart. In the original, he was just another generic villain. In the English dub, he... also was a generic villain... but, like, a lot cooler!
It's party time, Ginyu style!

A classic.
And Chris Psaros' response will always be a favorite of mine:
Chris Psaros of DBZ Uncensored wrote:Narrator: "Oh yeah, I almost forgot... Krillin's in da house!"

uuuh.... uhhhuuuhh ... AaaaAAAAAAAAAAGGHGHGHAAAGHAHGHHAHGHA!!!!! OH DEAR JESUS CHRIST, I DID NOT HEAR THAT. I can't even... no. I am unable to articulate how VOMIT-INDUCINGLY TERRIBLE this piece of DEMONIC FILTH is. The words... the delivery... the fact that it's Dragon Ball... This line made me want to take a pillow and go around the neighborhood smothering random old people in their sleep. "WHO'S IN 'DA HOUSE' NOW, GRANDPA?? WHO'S IN IT???"

FUNimation, THIS IS NOT "SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO!" IT'S A CARTOON FROM JAPAN! STOP WITH THE EBONICS! WHY MUST YOU... JUST... HAVE SOME GOD DAMNED RESP.... AAAAGHAHHGHA!!! FORGET IT!!!

That's it, time to go a-smotherin'.
Classic, both of them. Too bad they didn't make that the clip on the DragonBox, they did another FUNi recap instead.

"That was hot and spicy!" Turles, after blocking Piccolo's attack in Movie 3.

Oh I LIKE the lines too Fuujin - its just

I mean really, you have this bad ass Saiyan who kills Goku, and his uber attack is called "Watch the Birdie" what is this Street Fighter Alpha 2? Watch the Birdie as he smashes into you with lightning speed. Or maybe, maybe it was meant for Gohan to watch the birdie when he goes SSJ2, yes thats it Raditz inherited his father's ability to see the future! That MUST be it! OK enough sillyness, but seriously thats just the most lame attack name ever.

Now for some more fun season 1&2 line wank

"Aww too bad it was a sunday, if this was a day later these buildings would have bene full of people!"
-Nappa

uh yeah...even assuming somehow Nappa is the extreme Earth genius that knows all the calendar terms Earth people use, which is beyond me, HOW in the blue hell did he figure it meant no one was there? Of coruse we all know there WERE people there but even if the line WAS correct its still just mind boggling.

Yeah, I like him too. Every time I see the old Ocean dub, I'm VERY amused. ;D

Actually LK, it was Vegeta that they made say that. And I liked Shigeru Chiba's Raditz. Jason Grey Stanford's was more of a cocky ass. While Chiba's was an outright cold and savage brute. I think they both work.

But people don't forget:

Raditz: "Why so blue green man is it because you're powerless to help your friend or because you're just plain ugly?"

-_- DBZ has now been turned into a bad American sitcom.

There was this other part in the Ocean dub that I always thought was hilarious because it was just dang racist. When Vegeta and Nappa arrive and get out and all those people are around having different reactions to them, there was this one guy that had darker skin and a sort of straw farmer type hat. Anyway, they make him say about Nappa, "Man that guy is huge!", with a really pronounced Mexican accent! XD I mean, what? You see a dark skinned guy with a straw hat and you assume he's a Mexican farmer or something? That's just bad. XDDDDDDDDDDDD

To this day, me and my brother frequently say "Is that so? Well, your power level is puny...level 5, too bad!".

And the plain weird delivery of Tenshinhan's American VA in episode 17 (dub numbers)... "Are you ok, Piccolo?" I mean, it's just a generic line, but the way he says it is just hilarious XD

Funny lines in dub: When they were mocking Vegeta for his pink shirt.

Wow..what an incredibly lame piece of dialogue..I had forgotten about that. The whole thing with Saban trying to convince viewers that no one ever died in attacks was ridiculous. They were WAY out of line.

Someone else pointed this out somewhere, that it's not necessary to actually say anyone was killed, but rather to just not say anything, and let the viewer decide what happened.
