Goku bought it at a carnival when it was just a baby.

No, they still did terribly, just not nearly as terrible as the Arabic dub.

But that's like saying a punch to the jaw is better than a kick to the groin. They're both painful.
No, FUNi's dub is like being chained up and whipped a few times. Some people love it, others just don't get it.
That's kinky. Unless you are a slave.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

My goodness... I...I can't believe it.
From what I read, those writers were just coming up with stuff from the top of their heads... I understand that things need to be edited for broadcast standards, but that was all a bit much. Folks over there are either watching/dealing with it, or not even bothering.

Good morning everyone, let's see what you've said while I was sleeping...
SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:That is some crazy shit right there. How long did the series last on air before fans got pissed and burned the studio to the ground?
Both Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z lasted for 52-54 episodes.
SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:I have a question though are most fans aware of the original version and all the changes the Arabian dub made?
Some were aware of the Japanese version, but the majority were fans of FUNimation's dub who downloaded the episodes from the internet.
Herms wrote:So was there ever an Arabic dub of GT?
No dub of GT have been made nor announced.

I read some comments pocking fun on the "Galactic Martial Arts School"... Well, don't you think it kinda makes sence with the Anoyoichi Budokai? The fighters are students of the Kaious from all over the galaxies.

What would they do for SSJ4 Goku then? "Wow, sorry about that, my pet golden monkey got out of control. But in the process of subduing him, I inexplicably transformed into this new stage!"

Also Goku SSJ4 will be summon, it will be the mightier version of Oozaru we've seen before, because it can transform to a powerful and intelligent entity....

It should be renamed Final Fantasy CU in Arabia (Completely Unlimited)
But you should be grantful SHINOBI, we even don't have Dragon Ball, nothing related to it.... You can only find volume 1-16 of Dragon Ball in english from VIZ and Dragon Ball games on PS2 in a few game stores
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

.. Wow, that's magical. Intensely braindead, but at the same time.. the whole "Galactic martial Arts School" with Princess Snake as a teacher is absolutely hysterical to me and I almost want a fanfic about it. Still a damn shame whoever was doing the editing/scripting ripped the show to pieces for you guys though.

The whole thing about not even having a Dragon just blows my mind though. You can almost tear logic out of most of the other changes, but that.... That's just completely out of left field.

Reminds me of Voltron. It's pretty embarrassing what WEP did with Golion and Dairugger.

Things were different back then. They even say themselves that back then that the thought was, "More Japanese, less American kids will like it." Also while not too sure about Dairugger, but Voltron did better in the States than Golion did in Japan. Also have to agree with an old issue of Animerica that Sven was better in Voltron due to his coming back rather than just guy who buys it really quickly.

You're right it was in the 80ies. However most of the editing and the dialogues from WEP were amateurish even back then. Not just the Sven/Shirogane thing. I agree, in fact that was one of the better "ideas".
But there are so many things (edits, cuts, dialogues, ideas) WEP did, which are absolutely horrible and I can't imagine that some kid could believe this shit. For example: Coran's wife and his son were teleported to a different dimension, instead of killed (and the animation is clear: They were shot, it is no "teleportation beam").

Nevermind, back to topic. :)

I'm grateful that this isn't the original version of Dragon Ball. Very interesting though.
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

How different is the Future Boy Conan dub (Adnan wa Lena) compared to the original Japanese?

Yeah, things like that should be delegated to PM's.
