Speaking of alternate angles:

I don't think this was answered, and I'm pretty sure this won't be an issue, but what's the status on the title cards of the Dragon Box? Single angle for the Japanese cards, alternate angles?

There are no alternate angles on the Dragonbox. It will always stay 1, which will show the intros with the lyrics, the title cards, same as for the ending and next episode previews.

So has anyone who owns FUNimation's Dragon Box compared it to my clip of Dragon Box Z (Japan) - DBZ ep. 31 ? You can use it to compare both the audio and video, so why hasn't anyone worked with it yet?
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Seems like I have to re-ask my question:

The menus are the same as follows:

Contains the 3 options of playing all, set-up and episode selection.
The scouter with the 9000 reference in it :p

Differences on each disc:

So far all I seen is the image of the background is matched within the scouter, which are scenes from the corresponding disc. All images are different on each.

I'll get on it, but I'm wary because the the whole copy-right protection that's on it seems almost impenetrable. Give me a few minutes.

I don't know and don't feel like learning how to rip the audio from the vob file, so please do everything! I've done the only thing I can do at this point and that's providing a 40 or so second clip from a Japanese Dragon Box I don't even own, so thanks...

My only thing is, which VOB file would it be... because right now as I'm ripping one, Windows Explorer kept crashing on me when I tried copying... FUNi got smart on this one.

What I'm asking is basically:

Was Funimation stupid enough to have English title cards? Or is the one angle for the Japanese title cards(as it should be)?

I would expect most of the community would really appreciate if someone could do a split screen with both dragonboxes.

Oh yeah, there are no English title cards whatsoever on this set. So it is what you expected.

Further to that question, what subtitle displays for the title cards when watching the dub? The dub episode title, the Japanese episode title, no subtitle at all? For that matter, is there even a second subtitle track for the dub?

Not that it really matters, but I'm curious.

The subtitle shown for that episode is the original episode title. As for the second question, there is no second subtitle track. Even though it shows 2 subtitle tracks... there both the same.

Okay, thanks. I didn't expect it to be a problem, but we are dealing with Funimation...so it felt necessary to check when it wasn't mentioned. :P

What? How can they be the same? If they're the same, then either there is no subtitle track that translates the episode titles for dub watchers, or there's subtitles during the ENTIRE episode for dub watchers. Neither make sense...

Werent the JP Dboxes a lot taller than regular DVD cases or am I mistaking that for some other release?

I thought they were goig to be noticably taller than the Season Brick sets.
