Hmm. Maybe I'll attempt to strike up some discussion about the episodes themselves later. I mean, the screenshot comparisons are interesting, but it's kind of boring if the only thing we do in this thread is obsessively compare and analyze the artwork.

Though I do agree that the Dragon Box looks great. There's a few cases where I prefer the darker colors of Pioneer and the Unlimited set, but overall the bright palette of the Dragon Boxes suits me better.

They're supposed to be the exact same footage. I'm pretty sure that they are the same.
Same footage? It's THAT awesome? :P

Not that everything else was done correctly, but they have the EXACT SAME footage? That's kick-ass. 8)
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

Yeah. This isn't like the Spanish Dragon Box which is called "Dragon Box" and is very decent looking remastered footage that come from a high quality film source. This is the Dragon Box in terms of episode footage used. It's the same thing Japan got.

Erm, wait a min - are you saying they're import-friendiy for PAL regions?

Just got my Dragonbox from the Post Office. Oh my god the packaging is worth the price alone.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Although I do agree the packaging looks very cool, It isn't exactly the best packaging when it comes to stability of holding the discs in place.

When I received mine in the mail a few days ago, two of the discs were literally sitting in the yellow box, Both were scratched and dinged up. Then When I opened up the packaging, two of the discs were halfway off of their spindals.

Thankfully, only the two discs that had fallen out appeared to be damaged, and I just got through watching the first one, which looked more damaged than the second, and it played fine. So here is hoping the other one is fine, I would hate to have to return it to Rightstuf, over 1 disc, and risk having it get messed up in shipping again, or whatever happened. :x

In the UUC version, it almost looks like Goku's shirt is black. Hmm.

No, I don't have this set yet, and yes those box art images were taken from Daizenshuu.com. Eep!)
Nice! I love these screenshots. Now only if we could include those ugly Orange Bricks screen in there.

Dragon Box FTW!!!

LOL! I just noticed. Thanks!

Why is the DragonBox more brighter than others? Because that's how the series was first ran. Original but clean.

Well I guess it's time to either sell or give away my first season set. Worthless garbage.

....wow. I'm so tempted, but I think I might just man up and wait on it XD;

With Amazon I'll save 10 dollars versus buying it from rightstuf, however I would like to have this for the Thanksgiving Break and I don't know if I'll have it from Amazon by then. I assume I will. Amazon delivery estimates are usually way off.

Way off in what way? Like they come before or after they say?

My delivery date says November 20th- 24th.

I thought about cancelling and pre-ordering from Rightstuf too, but I need the extra $10 lol.

Well, I had paid extra so that it would arrive at my apartment on the 17th. With RightStuf's price and economy shipping, it turned out to be within a few dollars of the same price as what I was paying at Amazon and I was going to get it earlier. So it was completely worth it to me.

BTW, just found out my Transformers: 25th Anniversary Matrix Of Leadership Edition [The Complete Series] shipped today from Amazon. What a fantastic week! 8) 8)

Watched DBZ episode 1. Looks great on my 55" TV. Never thought I'd be so happy to see episode previews.

Here's a video I just posted with a scene from the Dragon Box. The encode equipment I'm using isn't the newest and best stuff so it's not meant to show off quality. I just felt like making a joke about "hardcore uncut DBZ" while watching this scene.
