I explained everything and even provided listings from Amazon and Wal-mart, but the man said he can't speak for the other stores, so Target is probably right... should have mentioned that even FUNimation listed the new date on their site, oh well. If I can purchase my Dragon Box a week earlier than I'm supposed to and get it for the best price around, I'm fine!
You've talked about not wanting to be embarrassed about being a DBZ fan because of peoples reactions.

It's people who act like you who CAUSE that reaction to the franchise .
I didn't quite catch that. What are trying to say?
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

He's just being negative and/or trying to start some shit. He responded to two unrelated and insignificant comments with his opinion that nobody asked for. If you respond, you'll feed the flame.

I guess I just did the same thing though. Oh well, I'm a hypocrite.

BTW, just found out my Transformers: 25th Anniversary Matrix Of Leadership Edition [The Complete Series] shipped today from Amazon. What a fantastic week! 8) 8)

Watched DBZ episode 1. Looks great on my 55" TV. Never thought I'd be so happy to see episode previews.
Transformers arrived today, the same day it shipped! :o

He responded to a comment that had no relation to what he was actually saying, though. I've seen him be "loudly polite" before in this topic and it caused some problems. I have no interest causing trouble, so I'm not going to say anything to feed the fire.

It isn't a matter of 'starting shit'.

It's a matter of trying to inform people of their stupid shit, in the hope that they will someday strive for better.

When people act maturely and want help, I give them help. When they don't, well, then I don't.

Or as Hujio says "goc's a really nice guy, he just has a really low tolerance for stupidity"

My point to you (and I get you are young, you'll grow out of that problem.)

Perhaps the reason they make fun of Dragon Ball Z, is because of how you react to it.

Calling Target was not only unnecessary, but had no point to it. Then you called their online number.

You have a date for release, that is consistent from retailer to retailer. It's well known Right Stuf ships things early. Calling people up to try and 'figure out' if you can get it earlier (multiple numbers mind you) is part of the issue. How can you expect people to take the show seriously, when you are doing stuff like that? Then you complain the person at Target didn't seem to care. They didn't care. You are asking questions when you already know the answer, to someone who doesn't have any interest in it.

Inna is just butthurt that he shows up in the chatroom, says stupid stuff, get's smacked down.

You enjoy your DBZ, and you enjoy it well.

But try and calm down a bit. It's ok to be excited, but the guys at school are likely making fun of DBZ purely because it gets a rise out of you, not because they actually care one way or the other.

Stay breezy

I know what godofchaos is referring to with his comment. It was a few pages back where DBZfan29 had mentioned that he/she doesn't like to mention that he/she is a dbz fan because other kids in school make fun of him/her, usually making stupid jokes about "dragon balls." So that's what goc was talking about in terms of the whole embarassed thing. 'Course, I suppose all of this is still irrelevant to the thread, but...

Doesn't matter how helpful you are, if you're a dick, you're a dick. I'm the same way in real life; known as a helpful person, but I'm one of the biggest assholes you'll ever meet. But I'd never describe myself as nice. Of course, you can tell that from this, since I'm commenting on you just so I can criticise someone in a relatively useless way.

PS - screw the whole his/her thing, I'm going back to using "their", even if it is wrong. Makes sentences look friggin weird with all those slashes.

PPS - What are the odds that we'll get Scouters in the DragonBox the Movies release (that was the one they were release with right?)? That'd be bloody awesome, and I think most people would be willing to pay the extra cash for them. I would anyways.
Not a problem.

While godofchaos's personality may be an interesting topic of discussion to some, that's not what this thread is for. Back to Dragon Boxes, please.

Godofchaos, you don't know me. When people make fun of me about Dragon Ball, I don't react in a way that amuses them. I tell them the truth, and sometimes continue talking. Someone once said something to me, and then I started a discussion of why the series is more than a "this guy kicked this guy's butt - haha" show.

As for calling Target, it wasn't stupid. I am excited for the release, and if I can get it even sooner, I will try to. I wanted to clear some things up. Businesses can make mistakes. My call can help them out, too. If they do realize the product is actually supposed to be released on the seventeen, they can update their site. I see how your starting something again. You have a low tolerance for stupidity, yet you aren't being really smart causing trouble a lot either.

I don't care what Hujio has to say about you, because until I can see that you're a nice guy, I don't think you are.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I think the Dragon Box would look good anywhere! Put it on your desk, dresser, in your wardrobe, your car, etc. It still looks awesome! :D

I think I'm just gonna wait till this bad boy is around $30 at Wal-Mart to purchase it. Plus, I'm a little low on cash...with Modern Warfare 2 and Raging Blast coming out tomorrow...

I think North Kai is the wrong shade of blue on the Dragonbox.

I worry your satire won't be appreciated at this point right now...
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Around $30... it's going for $67 in Wal-mart now, do you really think it's going to drop to $30 any time soon?

I'm not getting MW2 till Christmas (off topic sorry) I'd rather get the two Dragon Ball games something I'd enjoy much more.
