If your main worry is the packaging, Amazon's been great with returns. How Best Buy does will most likely vary by store, but shouldn't you be able to see if the box is peeling while in-store?

Well from what I've read, the "syncing issues" are not noticeable, if they even exist. Secondly, the packaging...well, if you buy it from Best Buy, you'd see the packaging. Even if it's messed up, exchange for another. Even if it takes 10 times, you can do it. Or just return it altogether. But honestly, even if every package in the world was messed up, come on, Dragon Box. Pick your battles. You're not going to get it because the paper is coming off? I mean it's bad, it sucks, but come on.

Thankfully, I only picked up the first two orange bricks, so I'll actually be getting through the complete series for the first time with the FuniBoxes. Looking forward to the rest of them!

Congratulations! That's one of the all-around best shows out there. However, that box does tend to shed its AstroTurf grass. I've read complaints about the grave marker falling off, but mine has been fine so far.

It's in plastic wrap, so it's hard, if not impossible, to tell if the packaging will peel upon opening. To be honest, what I looked for was one where the insert booklet wasn't jutting out of the box horribly.

Any non-acidic glue stick (about $1.39 [ZOMG Kame Sennin battle power! Coincidence!?]) will do the trick for gluing it back on if it happens to you. Tape's another good option but... you can see even transparent tape, and as an enormous perfectionist I wouldn't like that at all.

Bought it today and am pretty much floored by the all-around quality of the entire set. And being able to hit "Play All" instead of heading straight for the setup menu is almost worth the price by itself.

The previews and original credits are a great to have as well. At the end of the day I know they're insignificant compared to the episodes themselves, but this is a set I can put on the shelf and be proud of.

Finally seeing FUNi treat DBZ with the respect it deserves has renewed my faith in them. If they give Kai a faithful dub, I'll consider everything forgiven and forgotten.

42. It's mid-Fake-Namek-filler with them getting the Dragon Ball from that giant, judging from the screen shot in the book.

So this is only available to buy online right now or is it in stores? Because I'm looking on Target's website right now and they've got it at 40% off list price for a cool $47... which slightly arouses me, but it says it's only available online at the moment... which makes me sad.

Nothing caps an epic boxset quite like the worst filler in the entire series! (Even more so than the Garlic Junior arc.)

Oh well, I do like seeing them retrieving the Dragon Ball from the giant's earring.

The Dragon Box I ordered finally arrived! The packaging and artwork (cover art, dragon book art, and disc art) was very nice and stayes true to the original Dragon Box artwork. My favorite part about the Dragon Book was the episode summaries, as they didn't spoil the episode, but rather made the episode seem more interesting, and made you want to see it more, to see what happens. For example, the last sentence of episode summary #11 was "Vegeta kills Moai, the evil king that has enslaved the entire race of the planet, and the people thank him. However..." The summeries just make the episodes more enjoyable. What was truely amazing was the footage. The second I started watching the footage, I was amazed. Its just not something you can judge by seeing a youtube video or a screenshot of the boxset. You have to see it for yourself to realize just how amazing the colors are, and how enjoyable and entertaining it is to watch. At first, I thought people were complaining about how much better the Dragon Box was than the Season Sets just to complain about FUNimation, but now I know why they wanted it so badly. The only thing I now still think fans overreacted on was the episode previews. I mean, there nice, but there not really THAT special.

I didn't buy my box, my mom got it for me since she was going out anyways, but mine's peeling as well...so, I'll see about a return, if I still have a receipt. That said, I have watched the entire thing all the way through *my first time watching every episode of Saiyan Saga in Japanese (Filler episodes after just watching them in English was too much during the season sets)*

What in the name of Shenron is more exciting than attempting to swipe a Dragon Ball from a sleeping giant?
