Favourite Unnamed Character
Why? Well, why not?
The Dragon Ball series is known for its many colourful, memorable characters spanning a vast array of personality types. Some of them, sadly, don't have an (official) name but some of us love them just the same.
Maybe it's a particular Freeza grunt, or a by-stander during one of the Tenkaichi Tournaments. Hey, maybe it's the King of Earth himself, or Bulma's mother. Perhaps they appear in one of the movies, or, most likely, it's Earths greatest champion of all: Farmer with a Shotgun.
For my money, my favourite unnamed character (at least on screen) is the oracle from the second and third Broly movies. I like his design, his charms and trinkets and his constant chanting. I find his being used to bridge the two movies interesting (would anyone have cared if they had just said someone found Broly) and I like his all-too-brief interactions with Trunks and Goten.
Well, that's me, but what about you?

I'd say my vote goes to the Tournament Announcer. He's just a really fun character. He watched and gave commentary on most of the major fights in the original DragonBall. In addition to that, he knew who really won the Cell Games, he watched Majin Vegeta murder a stand of Tournament goers, and Goku and Kuririn even managed to remember him after so many years of not participating in the Tenkaichi Budokai. (I believe Piccolo to some extent did as well).
It has to be one of the two first henchmen of Freeza's that Krillin and Gohan fought, the one with the moustache.
I wonder what his BP was and also his backstory. He seemed a little sadistic. Was it his father's drinking and constant abuse that made him that way or an upbringing so tied up with rules that made him go berserk and thus leading to him defying all kinds of moral thought?
Was he a good friend with his comrade? Did they share bread like brethren?
I guess that I will never know.

The Cell Games and Tournament Announcers. The dub version of the Cell Games announcer, specifically, because he was so cheesy, it was awesome.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

The crab that spits bubbles at Gohan in episode 2 of DBZ.
Seriously though, the Budoukai announcer. That guy will continue his coverage no matter what.

The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

I'm gonna have to say the Lion that chases Gohan in some of the early episodes from DBZ. I enjoyed the antics those two had, especially when Gohan chases after him when he stole his hat.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Ah, the Saber Tiger. He's actually in the first episode of both DragonBall and DragonBall Z, sort of as a running gag. In DragonBall he chases after Goku in his first appearance, and in DragonBall Z he chases after his son Gohan in his first appearance. I think it's kind of a nice touch on Toei's part as those are filler scenes..:PoetikaL:. wrote:I'm gonna have to say the Lion that chases Gohan in some of the early episodes from DBZ. Lol I meant Tiger, I guess since I was watching a video on YouTube that had a lion in it, I said it instead. Either way, the Tiger is just goof and I love it.Hujio wrote:Ah, the Saber Tiger. I like the random soldiers posing with Captain Ginyu, and especially the weird looking one on the far left doing what I call "Spirit Fingers".

I love the Budokai Announcer, but I also want to mention Dr. Brief's cat because it's cute. X3 (Wait... does that cat have an official name?)
The Resident Tenshinhan Fangirl.
Boss Rabbit's a name...
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I think I'll agree with every one else and say the Tournament Announcer, Lime's Grandfather because he fought well against Mercenary Tao and Farmer with Shotgun.
