Which Dragon Ball release do you recommend?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

The "season" sets have much better quality video and much better quality English dub audio. The only downside (from the uncut box sets) is that they lack the Japanese episode titles and you're forced to see the English credits over the ending animation.
I really appreciate this information, I honestly wasn't aware of the immense amount of cutting and censoring...

Sometimes the newbies we get have such bad grammar that it's impossible to understand what they're trying to say. :( Just think of the corrections to your posts as a friendly reminder. But do try to actually write properly (or else you might end up banned).
I think it's fairly apparent that I don't suffer from any lack of linguistic or writing skills. I write so that my point is clearly understood. if there's even a remote chance that I'll be banned from this forum for either Neglecting (or) Choosing to not capitalize a few letters in my posts... then I'll find another forum that isn't run or moderated by the Gestapo

it's too bad that the dominating mentality of the Daizex message-board Fuhrer has driven even just one (although I'm sure I'm not the first) user away. I was really looking forward to posting here .. but I'll be damned if I'm going to let myself be Controlled...

thanks for the insight on DB!

Hmm... That's too bad. Well, I'm glad I could at least help you out. Just so you know though, the "season" sets might be outdone by an even better release down the road (assuming FUNi gets the Dragon Box masters for Dragon Ball). That won't be for a couple years at least, but I don't want you to re-purchase the whole series just to have to buy it again.

And here's the main question: For how long I have to wait to watch a legal version of Dragon ball?
I understand how you feel man. I'm in the same boat. If you just want to watch the show, then the Funi season sets are for you. However, if they decide to get the rights to and release the DB DragonBox, it would definitely be worth the wait. I hate the wait, but I need the openings, Japanese episode titles, recaps, next ep. previews, and the closings. =S
