Or, should I get the two Australian Complete Collection Fatpacks?

Tell the goods and bads about them both to let me decide which one to pick.

Well, that's the real deal about the fatpacks. It's certainly convenient in terms of price and space to nab the Madman sets, but if you're concerned about video quality, go with the season set releases.

And here's the main question: For how long I have to wait to watch a legal version of Dragon ball? The Time Traveller wrote:Wait for the Dragon Box, of course.

Wha... seriously?!!B wrote:And then on the Madman side, one episode of the Baba arc has no subs. Instead, dubtitles come on, as in, the words at the bottom are transcripts of the dub. I believe it is episode 84.

Madman were made aware of it, cited an error in their authoring process, but stated that no replacements would be issued and it wouldn't be addressed in the future.SHINOBI-03 wrote: Wha... seriously?!!How come no one said anything about this?!!
I agree with this. Goku has no LEGS in the opening animation, and the episodes have been zoomed in more than on the original 2 disc sets. So it really comes down to this...bkev wrote:Also notable that the season sets have been zoomed in much more than the original sets. Not to the point in Z where the AR is changed, butt I would consider what's missing significant. I say wait for the dragonbox.
Damn, if you have all the original releases, don't bother with the Season Sets.Jusenkyo_Guide wrote:Speaking of Dragon Ball, I’ve got the 2000 release of Saga of Goku followed by the entirety of the 2003 Uncut releases for the remainder of the series… any thoughts on how they compare to the newly Uncut/Remastered 2009 releases? And is there actual plans for D-Ball Dragon Boxes, or is that just hearsay at this point?
Thanks!

Well, you should pick up the first set for the first thirteen episodes. But if you've got unzoomed copies of episode 14 through 153, just stick with those.Jusenkyo_Guide wrote:so then is it a common belief that they're of the same quality as the new Season sets? ... and on a similar note, anyone know just how edited are the first 13 episodes that are part of my 2000 Saga of Goku set?
lastly, to whomever it is that edited my original post in this thread... I would kindly ask you not to do so in the future, please.. it just seems a bit creepy and intrusive for you to take the time to edit for such menial means. I'm sorry, but I would hope that the main goal here is on content rather than deliberate pointers on Capitalization or Grammar in general.
as I'm not writing a term-paper, I prefer to not be judged while posting on a message board.. where a community with similar interests have gathered to discuss entertainment.
if that's not the case, then perhaps this forum isn't for me... but if that is the case (as it should be), then feel free to call me out if I ever make any real trouble for anyone... but otherwise, Please Knock Before Entering!
thanks

Thanks for the insight, but I think I'll have to do a little more research to see what exactly the differences are between the first 13ep's in relation to what and/or how much was cut out for the 2000 american release... also how much better the quality is in comparison to the remainder of what I have and the newly released 'Remastered' sets...B wrote:Well, you should pick up the first set for the first thirteen episodes. Thank you, and Granted .. although it's not about it being hard or too tough... as obviously I have a firm grasp of the english language and am aware of how to use it with regards to writing. The issue here in one of Control, and of thwarting off invasive behavior. it's actually rather awkwardly silly ... and seems a bit of an ego-trip to take the time to point out such minor and insignificant things, rather than letting people be themselves (as long as they're also behaving themselves)B wrote:And there's nothing hard about typing properly, bro. You agreed to do that when you "read" the rules. It's kind of jarring since you seem to have a fairly good grasp of it anyway.
The first 13 episodes that you own are: censored, have the music replaced (BGM, OP, ED, insert songs), have a different set of voice actors (possibly a good thing?), less accurate script (though FUNi's new dub isn't as good as it should be), and part of the first movie is actually edited into the the first episode during the story about the Dragon Balls.Jusenkyo_Guide wrote:Thanks for the insight, but I think I'll have to do a little more research to see what exactly the differences are between the first 13ep's in relation to what and/or how much was cut out for the 2000 american release... also how much better the quality is in comparison to the remainder of what I have and the newly released 'Remastered' sets...
If Mike is lenient on the grammar rules, then people will think it's okay to write however they want. Being able to understand what people are saying is important on a message board. Sometimes the newbies we get have such bad grammar that it's impossible to understand what they're trying to say.Jusenkyo_Guide wrote:Thank you, and Granted .. although it's not about it being hard or too tough... as obviously I have a firm grasp of the english language and am aware of how to use it with regards to writing. If I was standing amongst a group of peers having a conversation, and one of them briefly stopped me to point out a minor point of reference that in no-way changed the meaning of the point I was making... I would tell them to Shove It.
