I've wondered about this for a long time.

You'd think he'd give some thought to switching bodies with Furiza.

Freeza could kill him a thousand times before he hit the ground, though, so I don't think it would be wise to try it. Of course, if he did pull it off... that would be an interesting idea for the world of fanfiction.

Yeah, I'm sure that's true.

You want fanfic possibilities for Ginyu switching bodies with Freeza? OK....

Zarbon: "Freeza-sama....why do you make love like Ginyu all of a sudden?"

We all know Zarbon's a dirty slut....

I'm positive that's Ginyu's original body, since in the manga he says this to Jisu after he first meets Goku...

"He must be a mutation like us... Born as a gifted fighter."

As for him switching with Freeza... The Ginyu Tokusentai loves their jobs and none of them seem to mind Freeza whatsoever. There's no particular reason for Ginyu to want to take the risk of trying to switch places with Freeza.

Plus Ginyu likes to fight. If he were in Freeza's body he could NEVER fight. It had been years since he was able to fight seriously in his current body anyway. But I don't think that was his first body. Maybe his first body's mutation was the ability to switch?

Hmm, maybe the Ginyuu Tokusentai were supposed to be a slight take on the X-Men. Gurd has psychic time-stopping powers, Ginyuu can switch bodies... Well, I guess that's all there was. Maybe they're nothing more than a joke on crazy sentai shows after all.

I really liked those guys. Too bad they weren't around longer. :( Maybe the other three had weird mutant abilities, too.

If you think about it, they represented the classic combattant types of manga: Speed (Barta), Ki (Jeece), Endurance/Brute Strength (Recoom), Special/Fantastical/Mystical Techniques (Guldo), a "Boss-type" bad guy who has all the previous mentioned attributes to the tenth power (Ginyu).

An interesting question, without any clear answer. I think that Ginyu's body is stolen, because of what happened when he stole Gokus body.

He couldn't reach Gokus full power, because he really didn't know how to use it, actually it seemed like Ginyu barely knew how to fight at all. He had probably leap-frogged (pun intended) from body to body, using its strength to simply overwhlem any opponent.

I would have to agree with this, I think Ginyu had just leap-frogged his way up the food chain. I'm just currious as to why he never took Furiza's body? I mean why not take it?

Personally I'd have taken King Cold's since Kold was described as having a more powerful ki.

Was he? I thought the description was just "two enormous ki sources", or something like that.

Besides, "King Kold" is very, very silly name. Very. Who'd want to be stuck with a name like that?

"It's Freeza's ki! And one even more monstruous than his!"

I interpreted that as more powerful, but I may be wrong.

Yup. If that doesn't mean that King Kold is stronger than Freeza, I don't know what does.

True. I dunno. I just don't like the whole idea that we get told that Freeza is The Most Powerful Being In The Universe, only to find that his dad is even stronger. Especially since King Kold only seems to be in his second stage, while Freeza is all meched up and (possibly) even stronger than before.

King Cold King Cold King Cold King Cold!!!!!!

Are you happy?! I made a typo ok?! Can't I screw up even thrice around here?! Yeesh!

Concerning Kold (j/k) his bio in the daizenshuu says he likes to work from the shadows. Maybe only his crew and Freeza knew of his existence, or maybe "monstruous" meant that he was more evil than Freeza.

Also, is Cold in his transformed state or is he just 00ber tall? There's NO way to tell by comparing to Freeza's 1st and 2nd form since he doesn't look (exactly) like either.

True. Hell, we don't even know if he can transform. But he has 2nd form Freeza's heigh and curved horns, so that's what I went with.

I always assumed that was Cold's original form. It could also explain how he is more powerful than his son, Cold's original form is equivalent to Freeza's second form. Of course that still doesn't explain why Cold didn't just transform to his ultimate form and fight Trunks. Of course, maybe he doesn't have the ability to tranform like his son. :?

Yup. Especially considering that 100% Freeza wasn't THAT far behind SS Goku, and taking into account that Transforming seems to up your power level by a factor of a billion (note - this may not actually be true).

But, y'know, it's the whole "Freeza is the most powerful being in the universe! He's powerful! Super powerful! No-one is more powerful! Oh, wait, sorry, we forgot his dad."
