Don Kia Question

Post by The S » Tue Mar 01, 2005 12:04 am

I had always thought Lord Don Kia (from GT; Don Kee in dub) was... well, let's just say "not straight".

But I was watching The Lost Episodes today, and I recognized that it appears he's wearing Potara Earrings...

Could this be true? Could Don Kia be a transgender fusion?

Crappy pic, I know, but it's the best I could find at this moment.

Isn't Zarbon wearing such earrings, too?
He also seems to be "not straight". But I don't think they are all transgender fusions. Maybe those earrings are the latest fashion craze, or something like that.

By the way, isn't the old Kaiôshin a transgender fusion? I remember something about him and a strange old witch. And he certainly doesn't like men. Or is this only from a filler episode?

In the manga, it just shows the old witch putting on the earring, and it shows Rou Kaioushin (his normal self) looking all scared. Only one panel, though.

No, it was mentioned in the manga too. He did fuse with a female witch.

Edit: *shoots CMG with the Bazooka of Justice*

Yeah, I have to agree, I think the earrings are to represent the 'homosexually inclined'.

I think it's Toriyama and Toei being lazy. :P

Wow... I don't think I've ever seen him without the earrings...

Although, I don't think you have to be wearing the earrings at all times to remain in a fusion. Remember, it's supposed to be permanent.
