I decided to do a review of Dragon Ball episode 01.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

I read through the first volume again and posted some stuff on facebook.

On a slightly unrelated note, tomorrow is Asuka's birthday (from Evangelion).

Nifty.

I ended up celebrating with Attack of the Saiyans, and the Arlia filler episode on my Dbox.

Pretty awesome combination.

I actually felt a lot less like working on any of my Dragonball projects than I normally do, so I mostly chilled with my friends and actually did our homework... and got OUT OF OUR MINDS!! Will try and read some of the manga tonight, though, but only because it would be wrong not to. :D

Went back in time a few months and stole this cake.

We've gotten so much Dragon Ball stuff this year, a new series (Ok, a HD rehash) a live action movie (Ok, it was terrible), a DVD of the 2008 special (Ok, it was really really really hard to get) and an American Dragon Box...

Best year for Dragon Ball ever... :D

I just reread the first chapter. Anyone ever notice how Goku throwing Nyoibo to stop Bulma from falling makes no sense? He throws it at an angle but in the last panel it's sticking straight out from the cliff. I'm not complaining, it's just something I never noticed before.

Could it be like a javelin, thrown at roughly 45 degrees at first before levelling out (when the staff hits the cliff in this case) and finally coming down at an angle?
