Would a thirteen year old make you feel old and creepy? LOL...

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

That depends, do you have Progeria?

...that joke's not in bad taste, is it? :P

Honestly, I'll be the bad guy and say yes. I mean, I may only be 25, but hanging out with a 13 year old does register ever so slightly on the creepy scale. It's nothing against you personally.

Plus, honestly, your parents are cool with you hanging out with a group of strangers in their (mostly) 20's? The times, they are a-changin' if so.

I was going to go there with one of my parents. How else would I get there. Oh, and I forgot already... WOW, I just turned 14!
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

I'm definitely gonna say that'd count as awkward then. I honestly wouldn't try it, man.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I wasn't actually planning on going. I would like to, but I know I'd probably have no fun anyway...

I guess I was just "curious" if me going was even a possibility...

Again, no offense, but this kind of encapsulates one part of the issue. Why push so consistently for something, asking over and over, when you don't plan on going anyway/don't think you'd enjoy yourself? It's kind of childish. And besides that, no one wants to play the bad guy.

In any case, I'm sorry if I offend, but it's probably best to sit this one out. While I certainly don't think Mike would pointedly tell you not to come, it would obviously raise some concerns. Is it possible you could come? Sure. Is it the best idea? Not necessarily.

I dunno. 16 wouldn't be that unthinkable, would it? When I was sixteen, people in their early and mid 20s wouldn't be my top choice of people to hang out with (I'd feel young and stupid and in over my head), but 16's a far cry from 13.

Yeah, but I REALLY would like to go. You don't come by Dragon Ball events that often... unless they're conventions... which I don't do. In the back of my mind I thought I could go, just didn't really plan on it actually happening.

I'm sorry if I came off a little childish. I was pushy for something that essentially doesn't matter now. And nobody is the bad guy, so don't think you are. I understand, I really do.

Kirbopher, I live in Manhattan so I'll be going via Penn Station also. We could plan to meet up there to take the train if you'd like?

Although I already commented on my status via Twitter, I may as well enter the thread itself and "officially" offer my regrets for being unable to attend after all. It's my own fault for assuming that I could get the time off work without issue, which . . . turns out, I can't.

I'm definitely in for the next shindig, though. No matter what!

You lie. You can make it.
I guess you're right. It's mostly the hour plus train ride that's stopping me. I'd have to go to the city, then get on this train... I looked it up on and this would be my journey. :(

I know I'm about to be on the receiving end of a plethora of "you suck" comments for this... But I'm afraid I won't be able to make it tomorrow after all. Because of my "middle of nowhere" locale, the length and effort the trip would require is just waaay to impractical. I'd undoubtedly spend at least twice, maybe pushing thrice, as much time driving and/or on multiple trains just to get there than we'd actually spend at the restaurant.

I'm sorry, I feel terrible for flaking out on such short notice like this, but it can't really be helped. I'll definitely be there in spirit. In body next time, perhaps.

I just returned home from the party. Just want to say it was great meeting everyone! You were all such nice, fun people. Congrats to DaizEX on 200 podcast episodes. Thank you, Mike, Meri, Julian off in Japan, and everyone else for this wonderful DragonBall community and may it continue to bring fans together for years to come!
That was kinda cheesy of me.
