So I noticed something during the "Piccolo torments humanity" flashback...

About three minutes in?
It starts doing things that remind me of a song whose name I don't know... but...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enl73EB_ ... re=related
- Everywhere besides Kingdom Hearts (from which the above link is taken. -_-) I've found it associated with Hades (Hades' portion of Fantasmic!, an episode of Pinky and the Brain where the title characters are fleeing from "hades" while being attacked by who is clearly supposed to be the European-style devil, Etc).
Seeing as Daimao here is supposed to be the Devil (sorta, in an eastern sense... still sorta), I have to wonder if this is a coincidence.
Well, and it reminds me of the "A bunch of songs based on other songs" thing that's brought up from time to time in the podcast. ^_^.
Thoughts?
Like, maybe even the same day as I saw the Pinky and the Brain episode and noticed the song, we got to the fight in Kingdom Hearts featuring it... and it wasn't Hades, who is in the freaking game. I must admit, this annoys me. >.<

That song is Night on Bald Mountain, which has a witches' sabbath as its theme, hence it being commonly used to go along with evil scenes. In the Disney film Fantasia it was animated to depict the activities of Chernabog, a Slavic god of evil. This segment of Fantasia was adapted for Kingdom Hearts as Sora's boss battle with Chernabog, which is why that song is used as background music there.
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
