Anyone else see the sales ranking for the set after Amazon's sale?

Its ranked #373 in Movies & TV.

Suffice to say, its selling pretty damn well. :P

Well, lets see...

Dragon Box Z 1 is at #280 which makes it the number one selling Funimation and box set anime title on Amazon at the moment.

Season One is at #1, 936. Its the fourth best-selling Funimation title and seventh for best-selling box set anime.

Curses!!

I'm supposed to recieve my order in the upcoming days and I finally replaced my DVD-ROM with a new one and finally got a non-trial region free software for it...

And when I tried it with my old regions 1 and 4 DVDs, I get Media Read Error in WinDVD, Media Player Classic, and VLC Player?!!

Will I ever be able to watch it or not?!!

Ok, but how will I be able to take screen caps or rip videos for AMVs or any other fan-made things?

Oh, use DVD Decrypter for that. It should break the Regions no problem and rip you HQ VoB files.

*Sigh* :(

Looks like MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-841S is the worst DVD-RAM Drive anyone could get.

Nothing works on it...

NOTHING!!!

Looks like I'm stuck with these options:

1- Change the region code to either 1 or 4 and leave it that way and use the main house PC for region 2 DVDs.
2- Buy two more computers and mark each one with it's code.
3- The Orange Bricks.
4- The dreaded one............ the "D" word.

First, try DVD Decrypter. If that doesn't work:

I don't know how many, but you're allowed to change the region of your DVD drive a certain amount of times before it becomes permanent. Assuming you haven't changed it too many times before, you can temporarily change your DVD region to 1 and then use DVD Decrypter again.

You can also buy a second DVD drive (perhaps an external USB one for convenience) and permanently set that drive to Region 1.

You can buy a Region 1 DVD player.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

There are pieces of software out there that bypass region coding without the dangerous exercise of flashing the firmware on your DVD drive.

Some of them cost money though.

Download DVDfab 5 or 6 and copy the whole thing to your HDD. For me it was the only program that was able to get around the copy protection and remove the region code. After that you can just play it on your PC or burn it on a dvdr-dl. I did it myself and i can finally enjoy my Dragon Box upscaled to 1080p at my R2 PS3 :P

I just use VLC player. It still works fine. I usually use it when I'm watching Dragon Box (either Japanese or English). I dont't really use it with Season sets cuz there are garins all blurred out. I have grown fond with grains now :)

On the discs I watched, there was one trailer on each, I think. Just before the Main Menu.

For everyone having region problems, I've noticed recently that VLC Player plays Region 2 DVDs just fine and I live in the USA with my DVD-ROM set to Region 1. I dunno why I never picked up on this before. Hopefully it helps.
