Why Majin Buu is the worst villain in DBZ

Buu was even more naive than Goku was because Goku at least had some education thanks to his grandpa. And lets not forget that Buu had an evil side in him at the time (Ex: his expression when he killed babidi. Goku would never do the same with that expression).

Are we really comparing Goku killing an active military force bent on global conquest (who tried on basically every occasion to kill him, so the aggression was at least mutual) to Buu's slaughter of entire cities full of people? Buu had good in him, thanks to eating Dai Kaioshin. But he also had a lot of bad, as Pure Buu was a part of him as well. And regardless of knowledge of right or wrong, his actions during that part of the series were pretty terrible. And naivety aside, he took a sort of glee in causing harm. Whether he saw something as the punchline to his own joke, or if he was "punishing" someone for irritating him, he was equviolent to a super-powered child bully. The "he didn't know any better, that's just how he was taught" type of excuse doesn't hold up. Freeza and Vegeta were both products of their upbringings at the hands of ruthless tyrants. There's no doubt about where they wound up (even with Vegeta playing at good guy for some number of years).

Buu's regeneration makes him the worst villain, because it eliminates the basic building block of Dragonball, ie, "get stronger". Strength doesn't matter; Buu was outclassed from the time he showed up. Vegeta beats him down, Goku beats him down, Gotenks beats him down in SS1 and SS3, Gohan beats him down, Vegetto beats him down.

Granted, Vegeta was overpowered by Buu eventually, but 90% of their fight is still 'hero attacks, Buu regenerates'. And Vegetto is able to overpower Buu's regeneration, but since he's only 50% ~GOKU~ he's not allowed to win and we go back to Buu regenerating from everything Goku, Vegeta and Good Buu do.

Maybe if technique was elevated, the decline of strength could be forgivable (even though it goes against what DB has been since the start), but that doesn't happen either. Gotenks' crazy-ass moves aren't any better than Gohan simply punching and kicking. The Spirit Bomb doesn't succeed because of some inherent advantage the technique has, but because "welll, it's five o'clock already and this bottle of Johnnie Walker Black ain't gonna drink itself..."

One or two good things didn't redeem Vegeta. One or two bad things don't damn Goku.

Vegeta sacrificed himself once to kill one being.
Goku ruthlessly slaugtered the Red Ribbon army. Goku's thing is kinda huge and smells terribly.

Goku sacrificed himself to kill an evil being TWICE.
Vegeta wiped out whole races for a job for the first 30 or so years of his life.

I actually like Kid Buu the most because he is indeed the personification of evil, since the first thing that we see him do is shoot a blast that could have destroyed the planet, then actually doing so.

Well as what I see it as, I think Buu was the first villain to successfully blow up the Entire Earth, taking all of the population with it. Well actually he had that mass genocide attack thing haha, can't remember the name. I like how Buu is split into good and bad, maybe the regeneration stuff was overused a lot. But really, Buu just had enormous power but very little fighting experience. Buu had never faced an opponent worthy enough to make him sweat so really, he just destroyed things.

The only thing I hated about Buu was that he came back as Uub... I mean please

It just goes to show that he was not that strong but could just regenerate after everything. I can see If maybe there were henchmen, them being a gag, but The main villain? And the last one of the series?

Yes, but his energy was already running low at that point. Goku was fresh against fat Buu.

Goku and Fat Boo were just playing around in their fight. When Goku fought Kid Boo though, he was fighting to win.

I think every time Goku does a Kamehameha he is going for damage. I've never seen him do one just for kicks/playing around.
