How are the DBGT Green Bricks?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

To be honest when I was younger(around like 6th grade) I thought that intro was pretty cool...But yeah now its just funny..Sorta like an AMV since it had no original sequences.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

They are a really nice colour! - Lime Green :P They look rather darn nice on a bookshelf. - Shame Funi didn't make them glow in the dark... :x

As for quality wise, the picture and sound quality is excellent and like everyone else has said their has been no cropping and chopping courtesy of Funimation.

- Go for it!

I believe the price changed for Season 1 from yesterday to today, because I was looking it up for my friend and think it was $24.99 or something yesterday, now it's $19.99. Living in UK, if I want to save on delivery, then I'll make her buy season 2 also so it's over $25 worth of goods for the super saver delivery xD. In my own perspective, the interlaced issue isn't noticeable at all, only if you pause it, thats when if something is moving you notice the interlacing so not much of a problem there. The FUNimation voice cast did a better job than blue-water did (even though I saw the blue-water one as a kid), but as there is the audio mix with the FUNimation dub and Japanese BGM, FUNimation wins in regards to that point. Enjoy the 5.1 from that, it's really cool. GT has always been controversial so no high expectations of brilliance in regards to content. Being only 2 seasons and at a fair price, I think it's a great opportunity.

GT DragonBoxes may be a long time, that's if FUNimation will do them. And I think that for the average person, over that time you can afford to pay for both or maybe even selling the season sets afterwards anyway. The Hero's Legacy Special is a bonus too, overall you're missing the Japanese title cards, and the special episode previews. But if you're watching atleast 2 episodes per sitting it's not so bad.
Actions have reactions so don't be quick to judge, you may not know the hardships that people don't speak of.
Dub fan.

Have any of you noticed the random brightness? More specifically, at the end of the second opening. I feel it's way too bright, especially compared to the other versions I've seen. Granted, I've only really watched Super5 fansubs and my Malaysian box set.

I am having trouble locating it on youtube.

::face palm::

I can upload it when I get home.

It's like that on the Dragon Boxes as well.

It's just in the second opening. It's fine everywhere else.

These are way better than the FUNi sets, just get the subs and you're good to go.

Edit: Actual price for the entire single release.

What do you mean by "just get the subs and you're good to go"?

Are you talking about somebody's custom subtitle patch?

Is downloading the subtitles themselves legal? I assume most subtitles available would be Steve Simmons' work.

If they're a copy of FUNimation's subtitles, then that seems pretty illegal, since it's part of a commercial product and being redistributed without consent. Custom fan scripts, on the other hand, I'm not sure on the exact legalities of. It's still a derivative of Toei's scripts rather than a purely original creation, and they'd technically be competing with FUNimation (who has legal rights to translate in English), so I'd lean more towards illegal than not.

Is this true? I thought all the bricks were progressive. Why'd they switch?

I don't remember exactly. Something about the source footage they were given and what-not. Somebody like GoC who knows this stuff better could explain it.
