Saiya-jin History Questions

According the 7th Daizenshuu the Saiya-jin arrived on Plant Planet via a "mysterious" spaceship. But from where? and where was their original world. I have always had a theory that the saiyans may have possibly been a somewhat technological advanced people that possibly escaped from the wrath of the "original super Saiya-jin" possibly or that the original planet was destroyed and only a few made it of their home world,but the GT perfect files says that the original homeworld STILL EXIST?! Are there Saiya-jins there? Did Freeza know this? Vegeta?,etc know this or had they forgotten about their homeworld? The original super Saiya-jin appeared in the year 238 BCA, but the Saiya-jins landed on planet plant in their mysterious spaceship in 550 Age. Thats 788 years of having no home planet and cruising around in a "mysterious spaceship". After seeing the movie District 9 it also made me think that the saiyans werent simply powerful savages, but maybe just a people that had became ignorant and lost knowledge of their culture/ways and possibly gotten weaker due to being confined to a planet with just Tuffles. My last question in on the saiyan civil wars. Vegeta never mentioned these nor was their any evidence of such in the Bardock Father of Goku movie. Were a group of saiyans trying to over throw King Vegeta? What was the scale? Etc. If anyone can shed light on some of this that would be much appreciated. Had to get my rant out

My theory is that the Saiyans were the middle class of a more advanced race, and they were sent into space on Ark Fleet Ship B ahead of everyone else when their planet was pronounced "doomed".

My theory is somebody with a spaceship crash landed on Saiya, the Saiyans killed whoever was on it, figured out how to use it, and wound up on Plant.

That was the Original Super Saiyan destroyed the original planet.

It has never been stated whether or not Saiya is still in orbit. The GT Perfect Files entertain the possibility it's out there somewhere, but nothing concrete.

Yeah, they're not in the manga at all, though Toriyama created them for the anime filler.

On Saiyan history, in the SEG: Character Volume, Toriyama says that Saiyans have always gone around attacking planets for resources and wealth. Daizenshuu 7 says that they're perhaps the survivors of some historic battle.
