Frame by Frame Re-mastering? (Warning: Semi-Ranty)

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

I'm just getting so sick of the series simply being re-re-re-re-re-released by Funimation. That's why I hold so much resentment toward the Dragon Box. If they had a feature on the Dragon Boxes that was something like pop-up trivia about Toriyama, the series, Toei, or Funimation while you watched the thing, I would be sold. Period. That would make it worth collecting for me, and I'd be all over it like a fly on a hot load.

In other words, I couldn't give a flying flip about enhanced picture quality. Enhanced picture quality is hardly a reason to convince me to by these things when I have the exact same thing sitting in my DVD cabinet.

Also I don't see the point in getting the series again when I already have the orange bricks, regardless if I can get the Dragon Boxes at $35 at RightStuf, because even if I did, I know I wouldn't be able to sell my Orange Bricks for half of what I even paid for them in the first place.
It has been said many times already; the Dragon Boxes are certainly not for everyone. If you don't mind owning the series in a cropped format, then there's no reason you should feel obligated to buy these sets. If you don't want them, don't buy them. It's really that simple. You made it clear that you don't give a flip about the best possible picture quality, so I don't see why you would resent the Dragon Boxes in any way, because they're not directed for someone like you.
