That was the point of my post, to make fun of the whole "It's GT" thing.

Greatest thing ever. And probably "true." Of all the revisionist history in DB, the supposed fact that Yamucha was a "playboy" grates on my nerves the most. Was there absolutely anything to ever suggest this in the series? [...] If anyone was unfaithful, it was definitely her. The most defensible position would simply be that her irrational jealousy led her to believe that Yamucha was unfaithful. Otherwise... that's a load of crap, and, like everything else involving this character, Yamucha got totally screwed.

Definitely agree there. As far as I recall, there's never anything in the original material to suggest that Yamcha ever cheated. Despite this however, it manages to persist, even appearing in the incredibly accurate Ocean dub of movies 1-3.

Now I'll go ahead and admit that I can certainly see it as a plausible (albeit sad and pathetic) arc for him: that he was shy around girls until he began to get attention from Bulma and all his fans from Metro West, he let it go to his head, and became a cheating womanizer. It's certainly plausible... but none of his actions beforehand suggest this, not even his actions when Trunks first arrives in that timelines, and Yamucha is still ferrying Bulma around.

I am a bit sad that we never got to meet Yamucha's supposed new girlfriend he tried to get a Shenlong necklace for, though...

It's not that people can't explain it; they just don't care enough about GT to put in that much effort. I don't try to explain the movies, either, because I'm just not interested. And quite honestly, GT has so many problems that if another one gets pointed out, it's not shocking enough for me to say anything other than, "Well, that's GT for you."

You could say the same thing for the movies, parts of Dragon Ball and parts of Dragon Ball Z, but I guess it's got more do with the hatred of GT everyone has got going on here.

I did say the same thing for the movies, right there in my post. I also don't try to explain filler, because I just don't care. I do come up with explanations for parts of the manga, because I do care about that, but there are some fans who couldn't care less about those either. It varies from person to person.

I also don't hate GT. I just don't really expect it to make sense.
