I have both an uncle and a cousin named Mark though, so I wouldn't use that. :p

I always thought the whole Mark thing was funny since that's my dad's name....

So yeah, Mark is of course a good name. Of the ones mentioned, I would say Gregory, Goten, Marron, and Akira sound good. Minosha would also be a good name for a Japanese person.

As much as they know I love Dragonball, my mother and girlfriend would kill me if I decided to name my son Gohan lol. If I ever get another dog, I might consider naming him Vegeta or something but we'll see.

Whenever I read a name Akira... it reminds me of my fave JAV actress... Akira Fubuki. That's the reason I wouldn't name my daughter Akira

How can you guys even think of naming your child "Gohan" or "Ma Junior"? They'll have to live with that name for life.

No need to imagine a situation... plenty members here do have kids, or perhaps will in the near future. Some of us are, like, 60 years old.

As far as I know, Daimao's kid is named "Ma Jr." I refuse to accept any truth otherwise.

Well, the initial question for this thread was:

Which dragonball name(s) do you think are most acceptable in real life?

Which is a discussion based question and not necessarily 'which dragonball character would you name your child?!'. There are the obvious no-no's like Goku/Vegeta - I mean that would be ridiculous and way too dedicated, but it's something new and different to discuss than the usual stuff so I think it's pretty cool .

I don't think I would name my future children after a character, however maybe I'll call my cat Karin or my dog Bee/Shu.
Come to think of it, is Shu a dog or a fox?

At this point in my very young life, I'm 90% sure that I don't want kids. And I'm in a relationship where my partner doesn't want children either, win/win. But lets say that 10% of uncertainty creeps up on me when the womb clock is slowly counting down to zero, I would definitely name my kid(s) after a fictional comic book character (i.e. Bruce, Clark, or Aquaman)

Boy - Goten (Not my favorite character but I like the name)
Girl - Mai (The same as above)

Now let's say I hated my children because the pregnancy was accidental, then their names would be:

Boy - Borli
Girl - Pan (or the name of Goten's girlfriend)

For a boy my first choice would be Tenshinhan. Sure he he'd get the living daylights beat out of him in high school, but goddammit, he'd have an awesome name. Plus, I would get to call him Ten for short! Then, one day, he'd meet a nice little person named Chaozu and they'd move to Maine to practice "martial arts". *Ahem*

And I guess it would be Maron for a girl. That's a nice sounding name. Although Ten would probably work for a girl's name as well...

Never gonna have kids, but in some psychotic turn of events in the lamest mmorpg ever, called "Life," I would name name my children after DB characters only if the other half was as cracked-out on DB as I am.

The candidates so far would be:
Boy - Vegeta Alfonso theguitarist (because my kid would have a short temper, it suits)
Girl - 18 Lunch theguitarist (also with the short temper thing)

Alfonso is currently a placeholder.

If the other half isn't a DB crack-addict, then I would be making a strong push for "Askim/Asker" and/or "Aiduno."
