List of every Dragon Ball video game ever made

Post by Taku128 » Wed Mar 24, 2010 2:03 am

So I was bored today, and decided to expand upon the list I posted in the Dragon Ball games that used voice actors thread to include every Dragon Ball game ever created, as well as every crossover game featuring Dragon Ball characters. Of course, I doubt this list actually has every DB game ever, but I'll bet it comes damn close. Most of the game translations come from Kanzentai, and most of the titles for games not found in Kanzentai's video game guide were translated by Adamant. A few were taken from various other sources, such as Wikipedia and GameFAQs. Also thanks to Bussani for Googleing Bakuretsu when I was too stupid to do something so simple, and for Explosion Hunter. If one of the game titles or translations are wrong, you know the release date to one of the games I'm missing the day or month for, I screwed up a release date, or you know a game that isn't in my list, please make a post correcting me.

All games are listed with their Japanese release date, except for games developed in America. All games developed in Japan are listed under their romanized, untranslated Japanese titles, except for words written in English on the box. That's also why so many English words are in all caps. The changed American titles for the games are listed after the game's release date. Games only released in America are listed under their American titles. The only exception to these rules is Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II. LOG II is the only American developed Dragon Ball Z to be released in Japan. Because it was developed in America, I listed it under it's American title with it's American release date, followed by its Japanese title.

Wow, great job! There are two mistakes in the Kanzentai transliterations that I want to point out though (darn that DBW :P).
7. DRAGON BALL Z II: Geki Kami Furiiza!! [NES] (Dragon Ball Z II: God of Violence, Freeza!!, released August 10, 1991)
"Geki Kami" should be "Gekishin".
19. DRAGON BALL Z: Itai Naru Gokuu Densetsu [TG16] (Dragon Ball Z: The Great Legend of Goku, released November 11, 1994)
"Itai Naru" should be "Idai Naru".
8. Famicom JUMP II: Saikyo no Shichinin [NES] (Famicom Jump II: The Ultimate Seven, released December 2, 1991)
I guess this one's not from Kanzentai, but to make it consistent with the others, "Saikyo" should be "Saikyou".
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
Sometimes, I tweet things
We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

I do wonder, are there any other games on this list (of the JP produced games) other than the 3 Budokai games to be released in North America first? And is there any reason you didn't list those dates?

Maybe one or two others, but since there were fifteen years worth of games that only came out in Japan, and it's a Japanese series, I decided it'd make sense to only list the Japanese dates. I'll probably add the American dates later.

EDIT: American dates added.

Don't have time to cross-check what either of us are missing, but I made a list of some 80 games just from Japan (including handheld and arcade games) a while back with pictures if anyone is interested: http://daizex.fanboyreview.net/viewtopi ... =11&t=9021

I've since found a few other games, which I should probably soon finish up my work on and send over to Hujio for his site...
