BGM Documentation: rough drafts completely finished!

Post by kenisu3000 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 9:19 pm

I think with all this negativity toward the Japanese soundtrack lately, it could use some love. To whom it may concern, the respective rough drafts of BGM documentation for DragonBall through DragonBall GT are now available for all to see.
That means, Kai excluding, all I really have to do now is go back and revise everything from DragonBall episode 1 on (which means I'll have to watch the entire series over again), and get rid of all the mistakes, etc. I also intend to re-name a good number of pieces, the titles of which either sound like nonsense in their current state, or bad translations from Ongakushu vol. 2 or the Movies 10 and 11 soundtracks.
Hopefully though, as I've got fistfuls of other projects on my lineup, that won't take me too terribly long to get around to.

Enjoy!
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Yeah I checked on your site a week or two ago and realized you had it all up (I also browsed through that Mother guide of yours, and then spent the next ten minutes looking into the game...). Congratulations, man!! It's so awesome that you're doing all this and it's a huge help to all of us BGM fans (and also thanks for really taking the reigns of the Kai documentation... that flew out of my hands pretty fast). I'm getting back to work compiling individual albums for each episode, movie and special using all of the unreleased BGM that has been/is being released across the web by so many people.

Incredible work man.

I've really, really, really wanted "Enter The Bio-Fighters (Movie 2)" for the longest time.. and it's still not on any soundtrack. :(

Again, you might want to wait until I'm through with editing the charts. Some of the mistakes in there were actually put there on purpose as a placeholder, until I can figure out exactly which piece of music it was.

Huh... that reminds me, I don't think I ever put a link to ThePetSounds' videos on the site... I'll have to do that! I wonder how many BGM fans are wandering around, not even realizing how much of this stuff is now available, thanks to the isolated music tracks on the laserdiscs.

Anyway, thanks everyone, and I'm glad I can be of service! Background music as a concept just doesn't get enough credit in society at all.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?

You are the wind beneath my wings.

(Seriously though, that's awesome.)
