Yet again.
Although I'm very surprised that they're actually releasing a new PSP game. I thought they wouldn't bother to after the rather small success of the Shin Budokai series. So this is actually good news. And it is a welcome installment for me. Sure hope it's worth it. My PSP has been gathering too much dust lately anyways.

Namco seems to like the PSP (All of their core game franchises have been on the PSP before). Atari probably would have published this new game, had they not lost the rights.

Shin Budokai, and Another Road did great for what they are. Both outsold Raging Blast in Japan (and I wouldn't be surprised if that's true for worldwide), yet people expect that game to get a sequel. Toss in Namco Bandai being desperate for anything to sell decently, and the platform that houses their biggest sucess in years being on the PSP (God Eater), and we get DragonBall TAG Vs.
Do we have any clue on who's developing this game? Because those screens kind of remind me of a Naruto game that was released on PSP.

This is definitely a Sparking!-type of game. I can tell by the player models and animation frames. But what strikes me as most bizarre, is something I'm puzzled as to how it's possible--the graphics look better than the PS2 installments. Is it possible that PSP graphics have finally pushed beyond the PS2, or is that old information that I haven't come across because of my lack of paying attention to Sony's hand held?

The graphics do look nice. I wonder what type of opening the game will have? (Likely a 3D one?).
On hiatus.

Those are bullshots. I guarantee you they've been cleaned up, or were set at a resolution the PSP can't handle. The game should look like that, except with some jaggies.

Looks pretty good, I hope to see some more soon. Looks like Budokai 3 mixed with the BT series.

I always wanted to see a DBZ game done like this for a long time now. Why can't it be on the PS3 or 360?

Birth By Sleep looks really good, too.

I would have used Metal Gear Solid 5 as an example of the PSP's power rather than Birth By Sleep, or Chains of Olympus because MGS5 has a lot more going on at once than either of those two and looks fantastic, but still has jaggies.

Hey this game is titled Dragon Ball Tag VS right?
Does the VS indicate that its going to have a crossover with anything?
like. dragon ball universe versus another universe?
(Hopes for a cross epoch fighter that doesnt feature naruto)
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

Nope, it's just Dragon Ball characters.

Oresum! New PSP game! My PSP is starting to get a little dusty and I've been wanting some new Dragonball. If it is Sparking style, I'll live. I tend to be more lenient on handheld games as I only tend to play them for short periods of time between whatever it is that keeps me busy. It makes it harder for me to get bored.

How would we know?
We've only seen one scan.
Besides
, the only thing we know about this game is it has some type of tag team, and
Goku,
Vegeta,
Cell and
Freeza will be in it
.

If the game was going to contain non-DB characters, then you'd think that would be one of the things they'd hype from the very first scan.

I'm thinking the hook of the "Tag" part will be a plethora of team-based attacks and constant switching, maybe combining both. Like in some of the Street Fighter and Capcom and Marvel and what-not games. You can switch not just by having one character leave and another enter, but the entering character will actually fly in for an attack either on his own or together with you before switching. Stuff like that.

I was hoping that the screens we saw meant that everyone fights simultaneously and you could switch between characters on your team. Whoever you're not playing as would be computer-controlled.
Oh well. We'll see.

I hoping for that also, that and team attacks which I think are basically a given.
