*Stares at the shiny new artwork*. I don't get too many chances to get up to Kinokuniya, but the next time I do I'm buying a copy of this.
On hiatus.

No idea this'd be so awesome.
Where can I pick this badboy up?

That artwork isn't all new. Some of it's from the Dragon Box movies boxset and the posters for the movies themselves.

And that big SS Goku image isn't new either.

None of those images look new to me, they're just recycled.

I don't care if it's old art, that's what I wanted in the first place. Especially the movie posters!

Hopefully it'll come with the art from Dragon Box Z 1 too, it already has the art from Dragon Box the Movies. :D

Well, seeing the most recent calendars where they are also rehashing old art, I'd say it's very unlikely.
But I do hope I'm wrong though.

They have the new illustration book in NYC already?

There's Kai related artwork included, which I guess would be new art. They also included Dragon Box artwork, Jump special artwork, etc.

Hooooo, I never liked that Dragon Box art with Goku's face zoomed, Genkidama Goku and Goku firing Kamehameha, I think that art is awkward. And art from, ehm, Movie posters? I was thinking about some conceptual art, sketches, drafts or designs and not bunch of pics I know for years printed in book. It's not worth a little for me with the shipping it does to Europe....

Good ol' first Daizenshuu 8)

Also it's almost month that I'm waiting for pre-ordered Samurai Champloo figures.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

I thought and was hoping the same.

If it's just going to be old promotional artwork relevant to Goku, than it lessens the chances of them releasing an artbook based on another character; whereas concept designs, sketches, and such, from the animes Dragonball to Dragonball GT would've made it more plausible.

I was actually hoping for new artwork, as in, stuff I haven't seen before (not on Kai DVD's or whatever).
Art like this:

You know, original. Not re-drawn stuff or cover art @__@
Am I being too picky or?

That picture is scary.

Also, no it's not to much to ask. When I first heard about this I imagined sketches, story board pictures and other things of that nature. but from what I've seen and heard on here, it's more of a "best of" snap shot collection or something. I am disappointed.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

How so? They're just guys posing with their balls!

Ohh, you're right. Characters designs and such would've been awesome too.
*sighs*

Well, I already own the Daizenshuu, so also having an illustration book with images from the anime (including Dragon Box art) suits me right to the ground. :)

I would have it, but sadly, IDK if I can afford it. I can hope Viz can translated this one day.

Considering that the images aren't from the manga, I doubt it.

Well Goku being cross-eyed looks really funny and...wait a minute.

I don't think Toei took this book seriously. It looks like this book was nothing more than just something small to rake in addition profits. I'm more interested in the Daizenshuu's but only one of them is translated here in the states(and I can't seem to find it). If only someone would create "The Big Book of Dragonball" and load it up with interviews, Concept Art, Story Boarding, and all that good jazz from both Toei and Akira Toryiama and sell it to all audiences across the globe.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Viz has put out anime profile books for Full Metal Alchemist (a Funimation property) so it isn't out of the question.
