Are we supposed to think it's Goku singing? It didn't sound like Goku. I wouldn't have picked up that it even was one of the voice actors if I wasn't told ahead of time. And I doubt the children watching Nicktoons or Toonzai will either.

Well it is 1 in the morning in Texas at this point.

Edit: Does Sean still live in Texas? I'm totally not on the up and up with dub actor news.

Last I heard he lives in New York.

Wait... Is it creepy that we know and/or are concerned about this?

Little bit.

And it's 2:20 a.m. eastern time.

So he's probably got off the computer.

Eh, I don't think so. Gossip freaks know where celebrates are located. Then again you have to ask yourself are they well adjusted?

(For the record, it's even earlier in NY...just sayin')

After conductive riffling through his tra-I mean research it turns out the answer to this question is Suave. I also know what he had for lunch yesterday if anyone is interested.

I'm explaining why I didn't like it, now aren't I? And I think it's pretty clear the voice in the song is of the guy who plays Goku.

Herbal Essences.

And yes, he reacts just like the women in the commercial. For a sample, watch his He-Man and The Homos of The Universe video.

When Cringer is transformed into the "Big Gay Cat In Heat", he says a line which is identical to what Sean sounds like when using his shampoo.

Sean Schemmel FTW.

I wish more voice artists would come to the webs and directly address people who are constantly bringing them down. That's manly. Goku manly.

Goku would wonder how all that writing got inside the noisy box and what all the naked people were doing on the screen. Then he'd shrug and go get forty sandwiches.

I recognized his voice even in the noisy convention, so it's not that hard.

There, I fixed that for you. 8)

On the matter of Dragon Soul, I couldn't tell it was him in the song. Then again, I'm not the best person for that sort of thing. I very rarely hear voice similarities unless they're identical. Had no idea FUNi Piccolo and Vegeta were voiced by the same person until I read it online, for instance. >.>

So that's what the lyrics are eh? Wow, I sure misheard a lot didn't I? Brina did a pretty job now I know what was actually sung! I look forward to hearing the DVD version!

It's interesting to have Sean Schemmel post on this forum, however briefly. I'll just say that while I understand penguintruth's opinion on Sean's work, could we please discuss something else when it comes to him? There's plently we could learn such as when Kai began recording, if he's involved in any other songs or characters, the differences between working for 4kids and FUNimation, etc? I've read that he wasn't the 4kids Wapol dispite all sites saying he voiced the character so i'd really like to learn the truth about that...

To speak of that arguement however, you mention you haven't heard his work outside two shows? How you truly base the man's performance from the first role he ever had and from one other series a few years after? Actors generally are not the same people they started as, I know from my own tiny experience of the subject. It would be far better to at least watch a recent piece of his work outside of Kai to really judge the man. That's all I have to say on the matter as it is your opinion and i'm not here to alter it in any way.

Hey, I was starting to have a positive attitude about some of the stuff he was saying about the Kai dub, and I really enjoyed the clips from the actual episodes that were leaked (and you can look up my past posts about it as proof). So I was not really on some negative tear about the guy until he had to go and challenge my opinions.

Ah, but I still won't let it affect me as far as the dub's concerned. If the dub is good, it's good, even if Mr. Schemmel is too sensitive. I just don't much care for him singing the theme song.

I think him coming here just to talk with you specifically may be overreacting.

But then again, he probably just saw your post where you said "We found something else aside form voice acting that Sean Schemmel is fucking terrible at".

Which in all honesty, if I were him, would put me in a sour mood as well. Probably enough to come here and say "Tell me why, or shut up".

I understand you have explained why in other posts, but again maybe he just saw that one.

Yes I agree if Mr. Schemmel does post here again we should ask him things like that. Now I understand that some people don't like him as Goku & especially Kaio-Sama, but to others (like me) Schemmel is Goku & Kaio-Sama. It wasn't his fault or any of the other VA's fault that the Z dub had corny lines anyways it was likely due to the scripts that FUNimation were given were too Engrish-y as I read here on the forum. I'll admit that the Z dub had it's problems (especially the Faulconer music. That was way I hated Dragon Ball Z as a kid and that's why I didn't get into it until I watched the Saiya-Jin Saga ripped from the first Orange Brick with the Dub with Japanese music track. I'm so glad they ditched that and decided to use Kikuchi's score as it's much better, so that's one problem out of the way there.). I am neither a dubbie or sub-fan I am a fan who likes the English dub with Japanese BGM track.
