Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Majin Buu clapping for the other team is great!
On another note, hopefully if Broly needs to return he will be finished off quickly. This segment should have simply served how strong the Vegetto is of that universe and how hard the other fighters will need to fight in order to win. Let another, more complex villain get the spotlight . . . in fact, I hope there is still an original bad guy waiting in the wings.

Eh. I'm fairly certain that Rocketman stopped caring quite some time ago. Vegetto transforming into SSj2 and then even SSj3 to put up with the likes of Broli is the very epitome of sin for a guy who thinks that just base Vegetto could'a done it with one hand tied behind his back.verto wrote:Anyone told Rocketman yet? Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Though it's a pretty blatant plot contrivance, doesn't the "getting more powerful forever" thing make that kind of OK though? I mean, would it be just as offensive if instead of Broly it was Lord Slug or Metal Cooler that was granted the power increase?

Rocketman said to PM him once the fight was over on multiple occasions, it seems he really went through with it the last time.Li'l Lemmy wrote:Eh. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This version of Broly was encased in ice since 767, so he clearly didn't grow that much in the last 27 years. Whatever level he did reach before that happening couldn't be that much stronger than Kid Boo, seeing how a weaker Genkidama did him in. Vegetto 20 years ago could easily take Kid Boo, so this match doesn't work even with the ''getting more powerful'' clause. It would have been amazing if Broly was a regular contender instead of the Hulk-Broly we see here. Then the axiety of his power constantly growing would work and make him a possible final villain for the tournament, because by then we'd care about his personality and it would make the match more belieavable.TonyTheTiger wrote:Though it's a pretty blatant plot contrivance, doesn't the "getting more powerful forever" thing make that kind of OK though? You have no idea if he was encased in ice on his reality immediately after receiving that Genki Dama.Dayspring wrote:This version of Broly was encased in ice since 767, so he clearly didn't grow that much in the last 27 years. Remember, he was the strongest one they could find in universe 20. So it is far more likely that he eventually came back after receiving that Genki Dama and killed them all (and probably most of the universe) before getting trapped on that ice.

I don't want this to happen as much as you guys, but Broli might not be dead. He just lost his match and he could come back later in the Manga. Knowing the creators' fondness for him, this might just happen.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Salagir has already stated that he is not dead.
They even had him drawn losing his LSSJ after getting it by the Final Dragon Flash, but they redrew it so that he maintained his LSSJ.

Oh hell no!rereboy wrote:Salagir has already stated that he is not dead.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
But the manga also showed his past was nothing but the battle, as well as the fact that he started out on par with SSJ Vegetto and QUICKLY became too much for SSJ2 Vegetto, so decades of growth being microscopic makes no sense. The lack of powerful people can also be caused by Boo destroying the universe, then leaving or killing himself off afterwards in the following 20 years.rereboy wrote:You have no idea if he was encased in ice on his reality immediately after receiving that Genki Dama.Dayspring wrote:This version of Broly was encased in ice since 767, so he clearly didn't grow that much in the last 27 years. EDIT: It could also be Goku didn't teleport Cell away when he self-destructed. That would mean the only threat to the universe would be Cell, not Boo, so the Kaioshins would go after Cell. Or, Cell didn't survive the self-destruct process. It's a multiverse; there's plenty of unknown reasons for Broly to not be responsible.

Yeah, it's getting pretty obvious that they're just complete Broly fanboys that don't want to see him die.Kaboom wrote:Really?! Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Now, now.. temper. It seems that the fact Broli is still alive is to serve another purpose unrelated to him...jjgp1112 wrote:Yeah, it's getting pretty obvious that they're just complete Broly fanboys that don't want to see him die.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
They probably want him to be slaughtered by the real big bad later on. Like Imperix did to Doomsday. :p

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Probably because their inability to remove him, and Vegetto's going ahead to fight him, caused the fight to happen anyway. So they used the existing rules to put an end to the match without killing Brolly. Likely so he can show up again later for some important role in the story, perhaps against the final villain.Innagadadavida wrote:Broly's not gone, bro. We've been informed he's still alive.
Also, Broly was already disqualified because he killed the audience, why did they feel the need to announce he was out because he was gone for 30 seconds.
Except that, IIRC, Salagir said that Brolly's power continues to increase so long as he is in LSSJ, period. Brolly was frozen as an LSSJ so his power would have gone up the entire time, just more slowly than normal.Dayspring wrote:This version of Broly was encased in ice since 767, so he clearly didn't grow that much in the last 27 years. Cell blowing up the Earth would have likely released Buu.Dayspring wrote:EDIT: It could also be Goku didn't teleport Cell away when he self-destructed. It's getting pretty obvious that everyone here is being retarded. Just because they have plans for a character, whether you like them or not, does not make them a 'fanboy' of that character.jjgp1112 wrote:Yeah, it's getting pretty obvious that they're just complete Broly fanboys that don't want to see him die.Kaboom wrote:Really?! Brolly is someone who's easy to screw around with as a plot device. Deal with it and shut up about it already. I'm not talking to you, specifically, but everyone who keeps ranting on and on about this. I'm far more sick of seeing the bitching than I am of seeing Brolly.
No matter how annoying any of you think Brolly is, the rest of you are 10x worse.
