It's a japanese made DBZ Game, they never reveal stuff until late. Seriously, we're in for a treat.

It can't have been that long or we would have heard something earlier.
On the other hand it is out in a few months and thats a very short time for a game to be in production.
Actually, we don't know until they feel like telling us about it. This game has been 'announced' (in that we knew a game was coming, but that's it) for some time. I don't dobut work on this started at least six months ago, if not more. Probably a year or longer really. I've noticed Japan tries to aim for quality over speed/other.

Judging from the Sparking Website, Janemba seems to be playing an active role in the game perhaps? or just more characters to come.

It's impossible to say whether we will see it at all. Look at DragonBall Advance Adventure, we still haven't seen that, and it's actually been available now for quite awhile, in Japan.

Hm yea but it could be a possibility for DBZ sparking to be release here in the states by atari since they own the francise here for the games but won't be release untill 2006!? The same could go for DB Adventure.

I think the reason we've not seen an English Advance Adventure is due to the fact it's, well, DB, and not Z. These companies seem to think DB wont sell as well here, but Z they know is a gold mine. It's possible they wont but likely they will.

I think Xyex is right. Or, perhaps Advance Adventure never matched the sales of SuperSonic Warriors in Japan, and Atari thought that fans just wouldn't buy it here as well.

But then again, we have Taiketsu... so, I'm possibly wrong. Perhaps they WILL release it in the future; perhaps they don't want to release more than one DB game every four months, so that one won't outsale the other.

I mean, if you have 50 bucks to spend on a DBZ game in Xmas, what would you buy? Budokai 3 or Sagas (if they were released at the same time). But if Sagas were to be (and WAS) the only DB choice for April, what would you buy only? Yep, Sagas. Unless of course you're a DBZ hot-fan, where you buy any DB game you see at any time.

Now, as for Sparking, I keep my fingers crossed for it to be a hot game (although I was MORE than satisfied with B3; I think of it as the messiah of DBZ gaming). But...aren't the Budokai games Japanese as well? made by dimps? Perhaps they were US FUNDED, but JAP created, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. So, I don't think we are bound to see something O_O EXCEPTIONALLY EXCELLENT O_O of a DBZ game. I think it'll be just as good as the Budokai games, but not overly so.

Let's not forget, it's licenced >_<

Always good to have another 128-Bit DBZ game though.

(makes a reminder NOT to buy Sagas)
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

If I had a little forsight, I would have just bought the Legend of Musashi, and said "The hell with it."

About DB Advance Adventure, a Dutch gameshop has it on their releaselists for 27-05-2005 [muahhaha, European style of writing dates is much more logical], for a price of €34,99...
[www.nedgame.com; search for "DragonBall"]

Really hope they port Sparking! to the GameCube or something, don't wanna have to buy a PS2 too. ^^;

I still find it strange that Nedgame is the only European website that has a release date for DB Advance Adventure. :?
But who knows, maybe they will be right for once.

Maybe Advance Adventure isn't coming to the US because other than DVDs, FUNimation is refusing to pimp the original Dragon Ball.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I'd buy that if it was a major console game...but its a freaking GBA game all made and ready to go with a translation and on a GBA cart theres not a room for a lot - so really it just makes no sense unl;ess they were trying to bill Sagas soley on first action game for DB/Z

The game will be developed by "Spike", a Japanese company of course.
A damn fine one as well! They made my favorite GBA multiplayer game, Fire Pro Wrestling 2. Of course they made that whole series, including the apparently super awesome Fire Pro Wrestling D for Dreamcast.

They were also behind the "Way of The Samurai" series & some of the Tenchi games I believe?

I doubt it is a year away.

That kind of bullshit is reserved for Square-Enix. I can still remember KH2's unveiling in September 2003.

Anyway, I did some soul-searching and I REALLY don't think it's just the part of me that doesn't acknowledge any DB in America speaking, but those screenshots (stress SCREENSHOTS meaning no knowledge of gameplay, style, depth etc. ie. things that could suck severely but can't be predicted at this stage) make me very, very giddy.

DARE I even suggest, it looks suspiciously like a modern Legends? No! I dare not be so optimistic. That would be like having Toriyama say, "Fuck everything I've said for years, I'm starting DB again."

Hehe. I think a LOT of people are in that 'Hyper Fanboy' mode at this point. I mean. With Sagas, we saw the screens, we didn't like the game. I know for me at least, I've loved EVERY screen I've seen of the Budokai game's in play. And with this, so far, I feel the same.

Now, I've never played legends... (shoulda picked it up back in December instead of Viewtiful Joe it seems) but so far to me it looks like DBZ ZoE style... (though, I'll say the same as you at this point, That would be like having Toriyama say, "Fuck everything I've said for years, I'm starting DB again) but if it is, I'll be very pleased.

Though, the only clues to that respect thus far are the 'straffing Ki blasts' shot (as you can do similar in ZoE) and the one with Goku holding out his arm (kinda like he's gonna do a BBA oddly enough) as, again, you can do similar in ZoE. Plus, ya know, the whole 3D freedom of movement stuff...

Now, from what I've heard, this is to be an action game, isn't it? Which means probably some sort of story mode (maybe it's Movie 12? But then, why is Namek in the game? Ok, so maybe it's all of Z with Janemba as the final boss? (Well, he IS stronger than Kid Buu at least). Anyway, what I'm expecting at this point is a sort of story mode (DU style in that you pick who you want to play as / which version of the story to play through) from the main Heroes.

Ie, Only Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Trunks (maybe the Chibi's and others even) are part of the actual main game. The rest of the 40(+?) count coming in to play in a Vs. mode. Though, if I'm right, what would be sweet, would be a 2p co-op mode or a team Vs. mode or something... (Though, a 2p co-op in the story mode would be harder to do unless it uses a(n) (semi-)original story...

Gah! All this speculation does nothing but make me want to know the truth! Bah. They need to release new screens and some informtation. :?

Maybe at long last we'll have a game where the entire Ginyu Force is playable. XD

^^ And in Legendary Super Warriors.

The Ginyu Force sucks though. I'm hoping for a playable Vegito without having to fuse every battle. (Which LSW also had, damn that game rocked!)
