Not coming out in america...?
Are you people kidding me?
You mean the SAME america that released Dragonball Z UB 22 years after it's Japanese release, AND re-released the sucktastic Dragonball GT Final Bout years after it's initial release?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this game is coming stateside.

According to GameFAQs, they might have just been publishing those games. But at least it's safe to assume they had involvement.Sebastian (SB) wrote:They were also behind the "Way of The Samurai" series & some of the Tenchi games I believe?Mugenmidget wrote:A damn fine one as well! They made my favorite GBA multiplayer game, Fire Pro Wrestling 2. Of course they made that whole series, including the apparently super awesome Fire Pro Wrestling D for Dreamcast. The game will be developed by "Spike", a Japanese company of course.

I admit playing Legends with Guldo wasn't exactly the defining moment of my life, but it was nice to play with Jiis nonetheless. I mean, what's up with Recoome? He's in the Genesis game, and in UB22, and even in Budokai. Okay, he's strong, but Crusher Ball and Purple Comet Z Crash rock the Eraser Gun forever! "You do well" my ass, I want my Jiis fix!
It's party time, Ginyu style!

Since I don't count Legends as a fighting game (it was more like a simplistic action game), and since ALL characters in Legends were played in EXACTLY the same way, I can't say that the Ginew Force being playable back there was something exceptional.
I'd like to see Baata, Jiisu and Gurudo in a Budokai (or Sparking!) as well. Gurudo could be an awesome MVP if you could play him right...

"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

Good idea... I entirely forgot about that method. I should pick up a used PS1 though, to do it sometime... what with not wanting to damage my ps2 at all. [Since... you know, Sony is short shitting stores with the console, and if it broke... I'd be up short shit creek.]Mizugi wrote:Swap method, brotha.
Lol me too, lost in thought wrote:I actually have the game... heh. But it's an import PS1 title, and since I don't have a modded ps1, I can't play it.Pedro The Hutt wrote:Must get Legends now!... ehe.. or maybe not.
Sadness.
my PS was modded but I never did this with my PS2 so I end up never playing it anymore

IGN says:
"According to the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump, Bandai Corporation has announced a brand new title in its always-popular Dragon Ball Z franchise. Known simply as Dragon Ball Z Sparking!, the new game is said to be more action-oriented with an emphasis on greater movement and freedom. Of course, there will still be hand-to-hand fighting combat in addition to more than 40 different selectable characters in all. It is said that the title should be also completed in time for a release in Japan later this year.
There's still no word from Atari regarding an American release of Dragon Ball Z Sparking, but considering the enormous success of the previous games on PS2 and Atari's exclusive publishing rights for the franchise, we expect that an official announcement is imminent."
Gamespot says:
"New Dragon Ball Z game hitting Japan this fall. Bandai says Sparking! is flying toward the PlayStation 2; publisher unclear whether game is bound for US gamers. Tokyo-- Goku and the myriad inhabitants of the Dragon Ball Z universe will be returning to the PlayStation 2 this fall, says Bandai. The new game, Dragon Ball Z Sparking!, is a 3D fighting game that will feature more than 40 characters from the popular anime series. Developed by Spike, Dragon Ball Z Sparking! will cost 7,140 yen ($66). There is currently no word on whether Sparking! will make it to the US market. According to Bandai, Dragon Ball Z Sparking! will feature a 3D battle experience: Matches will take place in the air, on the ground, and everywhere in between. The game will play in a modified first-person perspective, with players viewing the action over their fighter's shoulder. So far, only three characters have been confirmed for the new game: Goku, his rival Vegeta, and Janenba, a character from the motion picture Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no Fushion! Goku to Vegeta.
To date, Bandai has sold a total of 8.35 million Dragon Ball Z games for the PS2. The company says it hopes to hit the 10 million mark with the release of Sparking!"
Similarity to Legends and ZOE seems more and more apparent.

Well its been confermed that Dragonball Z: Sparking is 2 players and the thing on my mine is how are they going to do it? I was thinking about this for about an hour and i could only think of the split screen, witch would not look good I'm guessing http://www.dranet.com/image.php?img=htt ... ol49vw.jpg
look at the 4th dragonball, it says 1-2 players in jap. What do you guys think? Any other ways?

No need for a split screen. The camera goes behind Player 1 to start (and possibly stays there). It's how ZoE does it in Vs. mode.
