Totally agree. It's too bad I think. In terms of sales figures I don't understand how the censorship would make much of a difference. Plus I think it's highly illogical to pick and choose what to censor (like removing 17's gun) while keeping intact other violent scenes. I know this is an old and tired rant, but I think it still needs to be said every now and then. I'm tired of companies making decisions based on greed, and not out of the interest of the fans. Sheesh!
On another note, are the french GNs of DBZ censored as well? I think I might just buy those instead. Viz has lost me as a customer.
