Re: A few things I've wondered
Maybe Mutaito was a pacifist who refused to kill and would rather give his own life by sealing the evil away than resort to taking Piccolo's life?
Not that I condone trying to make sense of filler or seriously incorporate it into canon... but still, we really don't know the specifics of Piccolo's first rampage. We get, like two panels, if I recall correctly.

Re: A few things I've wondered
Point conceded.
Granted, I didn't believe that Mutaito was stronger than Piccolo in the first place, but I just wanted to give the rationalization a shot. ^_^

Re: A few things I've wondered
In regards to taking the inert Dragonballs into the Room of Spirit and Time following making their wishes so that they could use them again the next day, it would require them to catch all seven before they dispersed, since they're only detectable by the radar when they're in their active state. For all the days between them being used and re-activating, they're essentially common stones, which would make finding them impossible. If they were caught before they were completely dispersed, then yes, it would most likely work.

Re: A few things I've wondered
Also, even if you could use the dragonballs in the RoSaT, the number of times that you could make a make would only be equal to the amount of people x2 that could actually catch the dragonballs in midair before they flew off, otherwise its bye-bye dragonballs forever.
I’ve got a lovely bunch of Dragonballs
There they are all standing in a row
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head!

Well, the OP I believe wasn't saying to actually use the Dragonballs in the Room of Spirit and Time, but just place the inert Dragonballs in the Room after making their wish outside, waiting the 24 hours, and then retrieving the Dragonballs again, which should be active again.

Well, yes, I am. Like I said, Goku was at the same level of strength as Piccolo Daimao, and Mr. Popo kicked Goku's ass. It doesn't get much clearer than that.KakaR0T wrote:Are you implying that Mr. Popo would not require the Mafuba to defeat King Piccolo?Piccolo Daimao wrote: Mr. Popo would defeat Mutaito easily. Re: A few things I've wondered
Goku kicked Piccolo Daimao's ass all over the place, and even forced the dude to resort to dirty tricks in order to win. There's no way they were the same level of strength. I don't know which battle power listed for this fight is the wrong one (guess it could be both), but one character's is certainly too close to the other's for the official listings to make sense within the actual story.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Well, yes, I am. Exactly. Only the balls will go in the Room and Spirit and time but never to be used there.Darkprince410 wrote:Well, the OP I believe wasn't saying to actually use the Dragonballs in the Room of Spirit and Time, but just place the inert Dragonballs in the Room after making their wish outside, waiting the 24 hours, and then retrieving the Dragonballs again, which should be active again.
So..
They can make their wish on Earth
When the balls scatter they can catch them before they fly off (which they can clearly do since Goku has done it when he wished Bora back to life)
And since there is that 'can't enter more than twice in a lifetime' rule. They can use like a litterpicker or something to place the balls in that room without actually having to enter it.
The next day open the door and litterpicker them back and make the wish on Earth.
Or instead of a litterpicker Piccolo can use his long arm provided it doesn't count as entering the room.

Perhaps, but even if Goku was indeed stronger than Piccolo Daimao as you say, Mr. Popo would still be able to kick Mutaito's ass.Savage68 wrote:Goku kicked Piccolo Daimao's ass all over the place, and even forced the dude to resort to dirty tricks in order to win. Sure, I don't have any problems with that. Daimao was proved to be pretty small fish after Goku killed him.

Re: A few things I've wondered
It's not that you can't enter more than twice in your lifetime. It's just that you cannot spend more than two years time in there, otherwise the entrance will disappear, sealing inside whoever is within the Room of Spirit and Time. If all they were doing was just running in and retrieving the Dragonballs before running back out, then they shouldn't be at any risk of being sealed in unless they were within a minute's time of reaching that two year mark.KakaR0T wrote:Exactly. At least, if my memory serves me correctly, I believe that's how the actual time limit situation was described as being.
Re: A few things I've wondered
Another thing I wondered...If Namekians have their own language, how do they also know to speak japanese? They seem to really only need it/use Namekian language when they are making a wish.

Re: A few things I've wondered
I seem to remember there being some mention of a Common-type language. Freezer says he knows Muuri can speak it (and as it's a Japanese product, 'Common' is Japanese) so stop muttering that crap you speak normally.

Re: A few things I've wondered
Now I know Goku and Chichi got married (anybody have the honeymoon episode by the way?). But did Vegeta and Bulma ever get married officially?

Does anybody know exactly how high Korin's Tower is? or how high the lookout is?

When does anyone say that?Savage68 wrote:I don't understand how anyone thought Raditz "[looked] just like Goku".
Well in that case, since the anime also pretty clearly establishes in the filler flashback showing Daimao's background that Mutaito was absolutely no match for Daimao, presumably Mutaito would also be no match for Goku after Goku drank the Super God Water. That Mutaito outclasses post-Super God Water Goku in that one training filler episode I just attribute to the fact that the Z filler episode with that same Pendulum Room establishes that all the time traveling done in that room is only in the mind. So the past that Goku visits in that episode might not correspond perfectly with the real past, hence Mutaito being stronger than he clearly ought to be.KakaR0T wrote:But I am referring to the animé and not the manga. We can take it seriously because it did happen in the show.

That line doesn't seem to be in the manga, at any rate. I don't know about the anime though.Savage68 wrote:I thought I remembered Bulma saying it, for some reason.
