I just found something in the scan and it is clearly evident to me what it is but I am going to see if other people think the same without me having to say what it is. But I have tried enhancing the image as much I could.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.... I thought it was a crashed plane at first glance. But it looks far too large for that...

EDIT:

It would seem that an Amercain (and European) release of Sparking! is now confirmed. ^_^

As wonky as Google's translation thingy is, that is right. The important part of the release:

最新作も第1~3弾同様にワールドワイドで同時展開し、2005年秋より日本と欧米市場で発売を開始する計画です。

"The newest product, like the first three releases, will be developed worldwide simultaneously, scheduled for release in Japan and the American and European markets starting Fall 2005."

Do we think that there's more than a snowflake's chance in hell of the U.S. release having dual audio with both the American and original VAs? I'm sorry if I sound overly critical of the U.S. dub, but I admit I'm a total subby fanboy.
I would import, but I really know nothing about modchipping PS2s and don't want to ruin my system. If it gets a GC release though, we could hopefully use freeloader, which is simpler than PS2 modchipping.

Wait. What is that referring to? The Budokai games?

A snowballs chance in HFIL .

The first Budokai had enough space to put both audiotracks on it but didnt get them. The official reason is disc space but it clearly wasn't. Funi probably doesn't want those Japanese voices in games.

Besides, I read something a while ago that Sony doesn't want to hear any Japanese dialogue in their Euro releases.

Yes. Atari was behind the Budokai games, but only because Bandai let them be. Bandai is the one with the liscences, and they published the games in Japan as well.

No, no, Dimps was behind the Budokai games. =D Japanese developer, yadayadayada.

And I say that's a downed plane, the wings are crooked and there's this big black smudge behind the cockpit. That's damaged alright. =D

No, Atari was behind the games, DIMPS just made them.

Freeloader?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Freeloader is basically a boot disc for import Gamecube games, we used to sell it at Gamestop.

You start the system with the Freeloader in, then swap it out for the import game disc and begin your play session.

Wouldn't a GC Action Replay do the same thing?

Yes, the press release mostly talks about the success of Bandai's "Dragon Ball Z" series for PS2, and this is considered the fourth release in that series.

On that note, is anyone interested in seeing a translation of the full press release?

You know, I wonder... why is it that years after Final Bout, they decided to finally make more DBZ games? Was it the apex of the 20th anniversary in the general timeframe, or what?

Probably the upcoming popularity in the States and Europe thanks to Funi.

Yes, but the Freeloader is about a year older than the AR.

I've worked up a theory of how those bars on the display work... (look at these for refrence: Image one and Image two

The top bar (the yellow and red thing) is your Ki bar. Charge it up and you get those dashes that appear to show how much of a charge you have.

The middle green bar is your health. I don't get the way it bends... that could just be them being fancy...

The bottom bar is probably your 'ultimate' bar. You charge it through some fashion and each of those 'dots' lights up to mark what level you're at. 1 for a level 1 ultimate, 2 for 2 and 3 for a level 3 ultimate. ^^

This is all just speculation of course, but the first two I'm almost certain of. The third bar and dots though, could be completely off.
