I doubt it helps that the audio quality of the original sounds like it was tied to the back of a car and dragged around by its neck for 20 years.Big Momma wrote:It's those darned kids these days. Wouldn't know a good song if it ripped their ear off and made them dance for it.The Time Traveller wrote:The other day I tried watching Dragon Ball downstairs and my little brother instantly says "How can you LISTEN to that [Makafushigi Adventure]" and I told him that people love Dragon Ball's music, and he didn't believe me.

My thoughts exactly. Overall excellently put together scenes thanks tot he music. Solid State Scouter is my default fighting song in the Sparking games.MajinVejitaXV wrote:'Day of Fate: Spirit vs. Spirit' or 'Solid State Scouter'.
Both fit their respective scenes perfectly and had the effect of being stuck in my head after the first time I saw them.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Eh... Probably Paranoid Android by Radioh- OH!
DragonBall... Right.
Yeah, I'm probably in the Spirit Vs. Spirit camp. Even after seeing a crap-quality MPEG years ago, I still get a little chill when I see that scene.
I also love We Gotta Power. More so than Cha-La Head Cha-La, for what it's worth.

Blue Velvet, hands down. It's just so damn gorgeous just as a song, let alone any relation to Dragonball. I had a midi file of it for years that I adored before I had any idea where it came from. Once I found out what it was, and heard it with vocals, and found the lyrics, and realized the stream of consciousness I'd written to the midi fit really damn well with lyrics I hadn't even known existed... hell man I was hooked. I just love everything about the sound of it. I loathe GT with a passion, but I love its music the most- crazy, no?
Theme wise it's WE GOTTA POWAH because it's so damn badass. Honorable mentions go to Umei no Hi and Solid State Scouter because of how powerfully each piece defines its respective moment in the series. And as for the completely random batshit music on the CDs that has no concrete relation to the series, Aitsu ha Son Gokuu is just a catchy little tune that I like to listen to.

There are a lot of songs that come close to being my favourite. But I'd have to go with Vegeta's theme tune from DBZ Ultimate Battle 22. It's just sheer awesomeness.
Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye wrote:I hope to hell when I do die somebody has sense enough to just dump me in the river or something. Anything except sticking me in a goddam cemetery. People coming and putting a bunch of flowers on your stomach on Sunday, and all that crap. Who wants flowers when you're dead? Nobody.
DEFINITELY Hikari no Tabi, no contest.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
My favorite song at this point is a toss-up between We Gotta Power (especially the awesome-tacular 2005 version) and Blue Velvet. Runners-up include Dan Dan, Solid State Scouter, and Unmei no Hi.
