Probably the same reason they thought Seto Kaiba had green hair.
And the same reason why Goku 10x Kamehameha first shown blue but later red crimson

Don't be surprise if they made a error on animes, even in game they make a error (or don't care)

Oh yeah, that's from the Sagas opening. That was a pretty big screw up by Toei.

I'll take Kai's half-assed reanimation over... that.... Besides the obvious coloring mistake (although didn't Toriyama accidentally make the same exact error in a panel of the manga?) their mouths look way too huge... It's horrible looking regardless.

I think they don't care about the US game,and the fatal thing is it's the only good thing about "Sagas"(the opening)!
