There's no way that will happen. The episodes will probably air on T.V before their release.TheGreatness25 wrote:Yeah. So the end of the Vegeta fight will be "Season 1". Then again... The Blu-ray/DVD release of the first 13 episodes was before the show aired on TV, and the second part comes out what, sometimes in September? That will make it after they finish showing it on Nick Toons. Makes zero sense. Unless they repeat the first 13 episodes on Nick Toons over and over again until September.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
I know. But that's so dumb! For the first episodes, the release came out before it was aired, but now I have to wait months to own the episodes that I can see on TV much sooner? That's ridiculous. I hate that they didn't just release the entire "Vegeta Saga" from the beginning. If they're so money hungry, they could've released Part One and Part Two at the same time, I'd freaking buy them both. But like this, it just takes too much time.
Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
It's not really Funi's fault. Toei probably doesn't want cheaper releases coming out too close to their own. It would be competition if they let Funi catch up too fast.

That's how cancellation happens.TheGreatness25 wrote:I think after the last episode of the Vegeta arc, they're just going to do reruns for a couple of months until "new" episodes come in. That's how American television works.
Then again I didn't go and check the schedule, and if it has something there that states otherwise, I'm sorry, but honestly, I doubt they'd get on-par with the Japanese version so quickly (Toei wouldn't want that I"m assuming). Plus, the next 13 episodes don't come out for a long time on Blu-ray or DVD.
Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
It happened to Z originally, and never canceled. Hell, it's happened to Bleach several times on Adult Swim (and is happening now), without cancellation.
It is likely that after so many episodes (insert number here), it will go on a dubbing hiatus, just like almost every anime does (and most animated series go on hiatus for a time too. Even live action series take breaks, usually).

Take a look at One Piece then. Funimation's dub of One Piece season 3 first aired... three years ago now, approximately? The first set of season 3 discs aren't being released until July later this year.TheGreatness25 wrote:I know. But that's so dumb! And what's more those One Piece episodes were pretty close to uncut, while these Kai episode are edited to shit.SaiyamanMS wrote:Take a look at One Piece then. Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
You mentioned earlier in the thread that you started watching around when Zoro fought Braham, right? That's pretty much where CN Australia actually switched to the uncut version (as the US airing was cancelled and they stopped doing the edited versions). The edited episodes that aired in the US did have a number of reasonable changes. Like "King" Eneru instead of God Eneru.
I don't think it was quite as edited as Kai from my recollection, but a number of things were toned down. Besides, the edited Kai dub isn't that bad. For the most part, it's still pretty accurate.
Edit: ... Oh right, by "earlier in the thread", I mean the "Dragonball Kai Dub" thread. Not this one, but yeah. I really need to remember which thread is which.

I only skimmed through the thread, so this may have been stated... or just wrong.
Anywho, I checked the listings on both my cable box and online, and neither set of listings showed Kai airing, at all, starting next Monday.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
Keep in mind that they have to keep a steady pace behind the Japanese DVD/Blu-ray release. The fact that we're a year behind Japan's TV airing is pretty amazing in the first place. I wouldn't complain, especially after how we got the rest of the Dragon Ball franchise in English so late.TheGreatness25 wrote:I know. But that's so dumb! I remember when FUNimation was releasing their "Ultimate Uncut Edition" of DBZ like five years ago. The DVDs started to come out, and then months later, it made its way to TV and surpassed the DVDs. It should be the same case with Kai.TheGreatness25 wrote:Yeah. So the end of the Vegeta fight will be "Season 1". Then again... Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
So for those of you who don't have the financial means to buy the home videos or watch the streaming of the show, Nicktoons is doing a crapton of reairings. From 7-9AM (I assume this is purely on the East coast) the first five episodes will be aired in a commercial-free two hour block. Across Saturday and Sunday all nineteen episodes will air (episodes 1-8 from 1-5PM and continues Sunday with episodes 8-15 from 1-5PM and episodes 16-19 from 8-10PM).
And in the magical days of my youth, Dragon Ball Z tapes usually came out several months before they aired on Cartoon Network. :pMugiMikey wrote:I remember when FUNimation was releasing their "Ultimate Uncut Edition" of DBZ like five years ago.
