Look at Ubisoft it only took them on their first try to get it right on their first Naruto game.

I just want you to know, I was singing that song all day at work yesterday and I just now saw your post. It made my day, thank you.Blue wrote:BIIIIIG BAAAAD BEEETLE BOOOORGS (yes this is the first thing that popped into my head why do you ask?)
That trailer actually didn't look super impressive to me, maybe it's because I don't care about Naruto but it seemed pretty "eh" for a current gen game.
The games on the Gamecube? They were ok, but I had no idea that they were made by Ubisoft.MajinGohanZ wrote:Look at Ubisoft it only took them on their first try to get it right on their first Naruto game.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Re: Big Bad Bandi Bully.
The Xbox 360 games were made by Ubisoft. Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is the first time that a Naruto game has been multi-platform. The reason being is that before Shueshia, and Viz had separated the license to the series to three companies; Ubisoft for Xbox platforms, Namco Bandai for PlayStation platforms, and Tomy Takara for Nintendo platforms. I don't even know how that worked out. Also interesting to note, both Ubisoft and Namco Bandai did almost all of their Naruto games in house, where as Bandai rarely does DragonBall games in house.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote: The games on the Gamecube? "I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

As I said before, I was talking about the U.S.A, where Naruto is Viz's top selling Manga and is currently topping the New York Times Manga Best Seller List (beating both One Piece and Bleach). I don't have any figures for the DVDs, but if the Manga is anything to go by, they're doing pretty well.Adamant wrote:The hell it isn't. Where are you getting that from? Yeah that was like what the 7/8th game? Lets see thats the 5th in main and after the card thingy and first psp game so 7th. Also if you played those games many on here would be whining on how the game play repetitive it only really diverged with the Storm games. Also that game you posted up was release a few months after its predecessor. Even so their latest game which was posted up by the Tc is 12th game they made. As far as Spike as concerned they just have less patient fans.mystic trunks wrote:6.Saimaroimaru wrote:You do realize these guys made like 8-10 Naruto games before getting it right. 1) As mentioned before, if you're only talking about some random overseas market, you mention that.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:As I said before, I was talking about the U.S.A, where Naruto is Viz's top selling Manga and is currently topping the New York Times Manga Best Seller List (beating both One Piece and Bleach). 2) Neither of the series are from the US, and none of the games are from the US, so I fail to see how this matters much.
3) I also really really doubt Naruto is more popular than Dragonball in the US, either. You specifically stated you were talking about the anime only, too, and the notion that Naruto DVDs sell better than Dragonball DVDs in the US is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know too much about these US ratings, but I don't think Naruto is doing better than this.
Also, the Dragonball manga got all 42 volumes released, while the Naruto manga got cancelled after 7 volumes. Do the math.

Random overseas market? The U.S has the biggest Anime market outside of Japan. It was worth US$2.8 Billion in 2007.Adamant wrote: 1) As mentioned before, if you're only talking about some random overseas market, you mention that.
See answer to question 1.Adamant wrote: 2) Neither of the series are from the US, and none of the games are from the US, so I fail to see how this matters much.
The Naruto Manga is definately more popular than the Dragon Ball Manga. As for the Anime, it could really go either way. Naruto is going pretty well on Cartoon Network and Shippuden is doing okay on Disney XD. The DVDs are doing quite well also.Adamant wrote: 3) I also really really doubt Naruto is more popular than Dragonball in the US, either. Uhh, Naruto volume 48 just got released in the states.Adamant wrote: Also, the Dragonball manga got all 42 volumes released, while the Naruto manga got cancelled after 7 volumes. Do the math.
Jeez, it's like if you say any that other Anime or Manga is more popular than Dragon Ball here, you'll get hounds released on you. I obviously like Dragon Ball more than Naruto, but I have common sense people.

(See, this is why we add that type of information to our posts. At least I was talking about the country I actually live in)
I still really doubt your claims, and you haven't presented any solid numbers to prove otherwise. It's DragonBall in the US. It's the least niche foreign show in the world's most xenophobic country.

Re: Big Bad Bandai Bully.
Also, anime and manga sales in general are not what they were in 2007 (neither are a lot of things). The U.S. economy had a melt-down between then and now. A lot of manga and anime-related companies in the U.S. are either no longer what they once were or have closed shop altogether. Funi is one of the few who are still noticeably stable.

Re: Big Bad Bandi Bully.
*facepalm* I'm talking about a series of games made by a specific company, Spike has only made 6 games. While CyberConnect2, who works on the Naruto UN Series, has made double that. Reading comprehension. Of course it has more games overall it came out before Naruto. Again patience. Don't get made at Spike cause the other companies shelved out DB games over the years. CyberConnect has more patient fans. UN5 is the equivalent to RB2 in terms or main series number and its just the previous games with more characters and some tweaks. If CyberConnect had fans like Spike they would have never got to Storm 2. Especially sense unlike Spike they actually pay attention to the sales.mystic trunks wrote:Patience doesn't factor in that much. What you are forget is that this is like the 55th DBZ game.Yeah that was like what the 7/8th game? They let the manga and anime stay in the rules while they expand on the characters abilities concepts. Its a video game, its meant to be over the top.Besides, after making 12 Naruto games I'm sure making new specials is one of the things that keeps them interested.goku the krump dancer wrote:I never understood why the Naruto characters we so overpowered in the games, but it doesnt matter because they're so nice to look at.
