This is fresh in my mind from another topic but damn, Norio Wakamoto is the GOD of enraged screaming. His pure frustration and rage from getting his ass kicked by Gohan definitely gives me chills!

As usual, I cite Gohan's SSJ2 transformation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3M_speKTHE

Nozawa's scream gets me every single time. Now that is the sound of rage.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

It's scenes like this one that doesn't make me hate the Japanese version. Nozawa's scream here is perfect not to mention that Unmei No Hi fits the scene great as well.

Other scenes that are chilling are the following: All Oozaru transformations, Goku killing Daimao, the end of the Goku VS MaJunior fight, Freeza impaling Krillin, Freeza blowing Krillin up, Goku going SSJ the first time (another scene where I'll admit is better in Japanese), Mirai Trunks slicing Freeza in half, Vegeta going SSJ the first time, Vegeta's Final Flash, Goku sacrificing himself to get Cell off of the earth, the final beam struggle between Gohan & Cell, Vegeta sacrificing himself in trying to kill Majin Buu, Goku going SSJ3 in both the series & movie 12, the fusion of Goten & Trunks becoming Gotenks, Goku & Vegeta's fusion into Vegetto (series) or Gogeta (movie 12), Goku destroying Kid Buu, Goku killing Baby, Goku killing Omega Shenron & the ending of GT episode 64.

Whats that? Can you give me a link to a video of it or something?

I always get chills when Vegeta and Goku are flying as fast as they can to get away from Kid Buu's attack which was about to blow up the Earth. Faulconer's Ginyu Transformation theme went so well with that scene.

Indeed an intense delivery, however Wakamoto still trumps every scream in Dragon Ball.

Whenever Freeza begins to act formal and when he shrieked after being hit with the Genki-Dama.

That monstrous yell Goku does when he turns Super Saiyan the first time, gives me chills every time.

Support your claim with video evidence :D

Can everyone confirm that this is the original music from the episode, that song sounds a lot like Tabidachi which is a very chill inducing song. It sticks out in my mind mostly in dragonball especially when Buyon is first shown.

This is indeed the song heard in the episode. There'd be times in Z when original tunes from Dragonball are heard.

Vegeta blowing up gives me chills everytime. During the TV viewing, the Single DVD viewing, the Remastered Set viewing, and probably will give me even more chills when they get to it on the Dragon Box and Kai.

One scene from the dub I like better is Vegeta's final flash against cell. I know its overdramatized but as a little kid I thought it was crazy.

I mentioned this in a previous post. It doesn't give me chills anymore but when I was 8 it sure did. :D

By the way please share clips along with your answers so everyone can see first hand. For example, I had seen Gohan's SSJ2 transformation a half a dozen times in japanese, but it was years ago when I was young and preferred the english version. Now that is one of my new favorite scenes, the scream is just crazy. I would love to see Masako Nozawa recording that!

I never really get chills from Dragon Ball. The only time I ever do is in Movie 2 Ocean dub when Goku powers up to Kaioken and when I hear his crazy fighting yells. It's so powerful and full of emotion and true acting, and sounds A LOT like Masako Nozawa. When I first heard Peter Kelamis yell "KAI-O-KEN!" I got confused for a sec and was like "Which dub am I watching?" It is just so amazing

Goku's 20X Kaioken (Funi) dub: "And I don't care if you're a million times stronger than me... mark my words, I'm not going to let them down!"

Big Green dub Movie 2 Genki Dama: "The mountains, the oceans, the atmosphere and all the living creatures he would destroy... I call upon all forms of life; every living being give me your energy I need in order to save us all YOU HAVE TO HELP MEEEEEEEEEE!"

Goku powers up against Nappa (all dubs; especially Ocean dub): "You want me, you got me! [powers up] Nappa: "Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?" Vegeta: "IT'S OVER 9000!"

DBK: Goku turns SSJ.

DBGT Goku Turns SSJ4.

I don't think I've ever gotten chills. The closest thing I can think of is Freeza in Kai. He is every dick authority figure with a smug faux polite attitude you've ever had all rolled up into one person. He is so bad ass yet I despise him so much at the same time.

Just thought of one more as I was typing. This one made me cringe. The Videl Vs. Spopovitch battle. I think that just goes to show you don't need gallons of gore to have an anime moment that makes you feel queasy. We've seen giant meat heads pound on the Z fighters before but this is a relatively normal human with some martial arts experience who had literally just learned to hover. Spopovitch just absolutely went to town physically destroying her in every little way he could. I think it was the fact this normal high school girl with blood and scratches literally everywhere was struggling to even stand that made me cringe. When it's Vegeta or Goku it's no problem, they're super human macho fighters but here it hit a lot more close to home. This was the hardest I ever wanted someone to step in to stop the fight in a cartoon before.

Dende shaking the lifeless smoldering body of his brother was a very similar moment as the Videl ordeal to me.

There are two main ones for me:

1. When Goku is about to deal the finishing blow on King Piccolo. The flashy effects, music, and the voice acting just sends chills down me every time.

2. Videl vs. Spopovitch. It was just way, way too brutal. Back then, when I first saw it as a kid, it just surprised the hell out of me. It doesn't affect me as much now, since I've seen those episodes a bunch of times.

Oh, wait, I just remembered the main one I wanted to post.

Kuririn's death in DB. Both versions. What makes this chilling is the fact that Goku couldn't shake off the feeling that something would happen to him. The kicker was when Goku's fears were confirmed; Kuririn's cry for help to his friend was seriously bone-chilling (for some reason I find it even more creepy in the English version).

The part where Spopovitch is stomping on her head and she starts crying gets me every time.
